I have my first ever wedding October 14th, never been a second shooter, and the bride insisted that i do the wedding. Im so nerves. I dont have anyone to go with me to second shoot, but im not giving up on that yet! Lets hope for the best, my editing is terrible 😫
ОтветитьWe’re the photos in the church for family formal shots lit up with external flash?? Looks like there was a light that kept coming on?? Or was that just the videographers light? Did u use natural lighting in those shots? I didn’t see a sample of those... ty
ОтветитьLove it !! thanks for your time producing these videos !
Ответитьwell, watch it all. don't see any challenges here that are significant enough to be arkward, tough or tricky. maybe because I have to sometimes deal with much worse. anyway. Saturday morning, car is packed, gear was double checked, finishing walking the dog and off to the next weeding of this season.
Ответитьyou really have to decide if you are posting a video about wedding photography or is this some kind of vlog of you being just post labour and about the toddler....
Ответитьyour last Photo your best i love more😍
Ответитьas a wedding photog it's so nice to see you kind of scamper to find the perfect spot for the dress, I feel like that's me setting up all my shots on wedding days under a time crunch and it makes me feel unorganised and chaotic and this is a good reminder that this is normal and just part of the job!
ОтветитьIt looks so tiring doing all this organising! I bet you come home exhausted.
ОтветитьThis was great, I just second shot a wedding and learned a lot on how to support the lead shooter and this gave me ideas to give to them. (my lead shooter is a friend so it there was great communication both ways)
ОтветитьUsing a strobe or flash as the main light and the sun as a secondary light has greatly improved my photography. When shooting without a strobe or flash during daylight, I can position the sun more effectively as a secondary light, helping me understand how to use reflected light as fill light. Another helpful tip is to use a studio monitor, like a SmallHD, using False Colors to analyze the lighting and contrast in ad campaigns or the work of your favorite photographers. I guarantee this will be overwhelming at first but the experience you’ll gain will be a level you didn’t think possible.
ОтветитьInstructing people to laugh is so fake 😢
ОтветитьI wished you would have shown the group photos results taken from your chair and the settings you used. Why did you did not used a flash and it was indoor? your iso must have been extremely high and there was 2 rows in some of them with high aperture? I was wondering what it would have looked with the bench at the front and how did you cropped it in post? (I have been told to never shoot with windows facing you)…. Many thanks in advance.
ОтветитьWhat lens did you shoot with
ОтветитьThat was fun!
ОтветитьYou said get the first names for family formals. Have you ever had two people with the same name ?
ОтветитьThat was awesome! I am a kj ask access member so I’ll be watching the rest later!
ОтветитьVery challenging, but they look too bright to my taste.
ОтветитьI am so thankful for your whole channel.
ОтветитьI am a litle pleplexed by this whole shoot. 🤔 First why would a couple book a venue that they don't like the look of in their photo/video 🤔.
Two, you could of used fast lenses lights with ND filters to darken the background or blur it out.
But in my head just why go to all these lengths to hide the venue?
I cannot tell you how valuable this was to me!!Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks so much Katelyn for this video, I learned so much from it. What kind of video cameras are you guys using here? Thanks again :)
ОтветитьLoved watching you work. Well done....
ОтветитьDoes it solve somehow if its a harsh sunligh then maybe to use a flash as an ambient light?
Ответитьthis was amazing!
thank you so much.
You have a great team.
ОтветитьLoved It! Thank you for sharing this. I learned a lot! Thank you KJ
ОтветитьI really enjoyed watching your behind the scenes on wedding & the others. It's so helpful & I hope you'll make more so we can learn from you. I have an enormous beach wedding next week & I'm a little nervous as well as I will do their baptism in the ocean the day before. Just really want to do a great job with sharpness & details. Watching you gave me some knowledge to tuck in my pocket. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьHave to say…..you are just brilliant….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьI absolutely loved it Can you please send me the full wedding please! I have my first wedding in August and I want to do An AMAZING JOB ! An I would love to see the whole day !!
ОтветитьJust amazing.....
Ответитьthank you so much sister .. but what camera did you take it with ? thanks before ...
ОтветитьI'll give credit where credit is due, the shooting in harsh light for the first sight is incredibly hard to pull off. I've tried this before in weddings and gosh it is hard and requires quite a bit of skill to pull off. Thanks for sharing your technique KJ!
ОтветитьYou confirmed why I do not want to photograph a wedding...ever. lol My anxiety was running on overdrive just watching this.
ОтветитьThis is the first video I've ever watched of yours and I know it's older too, but you should invest in a jumpsuit and a backpack. It pains me to see you hauling that purse everywhere and trying to run around in a dress. k thx
ОтветитьGreat informative video. I’ve recently watched 7 of your videos, with your friendly personality I feel like you’re speaking to me in that I know you.
ОтветитьI wouldn't put a dress on that chandeliar ever. if your luck is bad you might end up paying the hotel 1 year of your income. Take calculated risks.
ОтветитьAmazing job on the first look! I got nervous just watching!
ОтветитьCan I ask how you were able to shoot the bridal party with F2.5 and still get all of their faces in focus? Wouldn't you need to go to F8 at least for that?
ОтветитьBeautiful work, Katelyn!
ОтветитьLoving this video! Such great tips and the photos are beautiful!!
ОтветитьIm shooting a medieval wedding... and i wouldve loved this castle ....
Ответитьsuch a great video!! Behind the scenes is so helpful for new photographers - thanks for putting in the work to get this done!!
ОтветитьHello I am a number one fun! May I ask what is your lens here? Thank you!
ОтветитьHi, I am a beginner. Love photography as hobby. So much to learn... thank you for so much information. I really love it!
ОтветитьSo helpful!
Ответитьamazing!! so so helpful. thank you so much!
ОтветитьGood info here. I’m glad I came across your videos yesterday.👍
ОтветитьCan I ask why your ISO is 125 and not 100 in the full sun? And in the group pictures outside in the shaded area, there were some at 200 and some at 125. I guess what I'm asking is how do you determine the ISO needed in that outdoor, well lit type of setting? I always thought if there was enough sunlight you should leave the ISO at the lowest setting. I've learned so much from watching your videos!! Thank you!
