Did Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261 Create A Plot Hole? (Discussion)

There's some merit to the idea that, inversely to Gojo being able to just barely pick up RCT on Death's Door, the slash was so potent that it briefly knocked Yuta out, forcing him into the corner of using Gojo's body?

well he COULD have done that, but he would come back weakened. he could either do that, or come back 10x stronger with gojo's body. not a plot hole, just a character choice

1) no one has been shown able to RCT a hit from the World cutting slash. We dont know why, but gojo had recovered his rct but yet still simply died. Same with yuta, he has some of the best RCT in the verse, and was with shoko who can RCT others, yet couldn’t be healed.
There is clearly some property of the move that prevents it from being healed immediately.

2) yuta most likely didnt want blood manipulation. Yuji & Choso are not normal users of the technique. You have to remember that a human with the technique would be Kamo level at best. Choso is a half curse death painting, and yuji has directly consumed a multitude of death paintings(and still struggles with the technique). It may be the case that yuta with the technique would not be able to do what yuji & choso can.

3) we dont know what the parameters are on yutas copy. He can copy for up to 5 mins outside of a domain but 5mins per what? 5 minutes per-day? 5 minutes per hour? Can he split the 5 into 2.5 & 2.5? Or is it single use up to 5minutes?
It could be the case that he copies blood manipulation to fix himself, then he cant use his ability anymore to enact his gojo body plan or be useful at all in the fight.

Yuta is missing a requirement, he is not a cursed spirit unlike Yuji.

Theres no way attaching a leg is anything like attaching entire organs bones etc, that is probably far more complicated than just a leg

Now that i think about it this is actualy pretty fuking stupid writing saying they planed this far ahead knowing todo is avaible(obviusly the main team doesnt know he is avaible but the chick who fuks his own brother does heck even todo would know better when to step in by himself he isnt someone who stands back and watches everyone else get mauled NAH HE WOULD HAVE FUKEN STEPPED IN) and not making a move with him when they have HIGURAMA AVAIBLE STILL.
I did mention this before that somewhere else that its so bad todo is not avaible here cuz he is the perfect tool for this to happen. But no somehow this turned into a LoL aram clownshow everyone trowing themselfs away while todo just waits outside to do a swap that could not even happen if he comes in earlier.

i belive why yuta couldn’t use blood manipulation was due to his weak body as has been stated through the story yuta is a naturally weak guy the only reason he’s able to box is because he amps his physical stats with ce meaning if he used blood manipulation i kinda feel like he’d be a weaker version of Noritoshi simply because of his body’s lack of durability i don’t know if i made sense here since blood manipulation relies on the users ability to expend their own blood

Yuji has a far stronger body and not to mention he’s basically a curse human hybrid which is exactly what choso is and even he in unable to use blood manipulation beyond researching his limbs

with these facts blood manipulation is too risky for Yuta to acquire and even if he did he would take too much time mastering it due to his limitations as a “Normal human being”

If Yuta could make a binding vow to sacrifice rikas life for his to come back, wouldn't it be more likely for him to make a binding vow to sacrifice himself for gojo to return?

how did sukuma even do a world slash? his hands were held together and he couldn’t use them. one was cut and idk how he did the hand sign.
even if it was a normal slash enhanced with chants, his output was so low. idk how yuta was slashed in half but yuji is good. makes 0 sense

He can copy a technique but that doesn’t mean he can use it to its fullest extent. He also may not have had enough blood or CE left in order to repair himself.

Iii think it's because 1. even though Yuta can copy cursed techniques, he doesn't automatically become proficient with them, both Yuji and Choso have extensive training with the it in order to pull off reattaching limbs and 2. Fully manifesting Rika starts the 5min. Timer when Yuta had already decided to fight Sukuna in Gojo's body if his domain failed, in which he'd have better odds at victory, so imo it's better to use as much of the 5 minutes using Kenjaku's CT instead of Blood Manipulation

I wish they had our boys abuse binding vows too, why is Higurama the lawyer not told about binding vows and possible exploits? why don't they impose a self binding vow to not be able to use cursed energy after Sukuna is dead?

I personally think Yuta died once the switch happened; I truly think the person is Gojo’s body is Geto.

wait if he was awake why didn't he just reversed cursed technique? we excuse Gojo because he was cut where his cursed energy is and the damage is just too great, while yuta still held together and awake didn't use RCT?!?! Gege might be losing his edge

The biggest plot hole is why kenjaku never took gojo body, like at any point before (like when he was a kid or a teen).

you can´t use ct´s right after your domain ended (unless you heal your brain like gojo/sukuna)

Yuta definitely could've healed without switching bodies, but he needed to anyway to fight Sukuna

Maybe I just missed it, but how exactly does Okkotsu copy techniques? Is it only by Rika eating a part or whole person with the technique he wants to copy or can it be done in another way? Depending on how he copies cursed techniques, maybe there's a reason he didn't copy Blood Manipulation?

I just don't think is really worth it to put himself back together. We aren't even sure he can do that because Itadori and Choso are special cases of blood manipulation users and even then they've been reattaching feet and arms, putting two halves of your entire body I would imagine is much more difficult especially from someone who doesn't have the same body composition and not as much time with the ct either. We know that Yuta has a lot of cursed energy but he does run out pretty quickly which is further backed with what Gojo had said about his cursed energy control and after a domain expansion, use of blood manipulation and the rct that it would take to fix himself back together it probably wouldn't leave him with much cursed energy left. So he would have to fully manifest Rika which would still put him on a time limit the main difference being he would just be exponentially weaker. Another point against this is how long it actually takes to get Yuta into Gojo's body. Our sense of time is kinda warped because in real life this fight has been going on for quite a bit but even if the time that has passed in story isn't that much we've still gotten quite a few developments in the fight which could mean that if Yuta waited even longer than he did the rest of the crew might not have even been alive at that point. Sukuna literally was about to use domain expansion again right before Yuta showed up which could have meant that at the very least Itadori and Todo could have died. In my head I can't really imagine a better shot at winning so being stingy and trying to time it so that he can get the most optimal usage out of it by a small margin while risking everyone being dead is not a luxury that they can really afford. Oh and I do think that Gojo's death were different scenario's than the other two. Yuta himself would've just straight up died if he didn't have Rika so he's got a flat out reason as to why he didn't die but Yuki and Gojo needed to do different things. Gojo would've needed to use blue efficiently and quickly enough with half a body to put himself back together and then rct all right in front of History's strongest sorcerer who's slashes just hit him now for some reason. Compared to Yuki who just kamikaze'd. I personally don't believe that severing your torso cuts off all cursed energy but significantly disrupts it. Output, efficiency, etc. I just say that because it would line up with what we have been shown so far but idk Gege's not said anything concrete on that at least to my knowledge so for now it's all up to interpretation. But W discussion brought up a lot of points I didn't even think about.

blood maniplation doesnt heal. It can pull the limbs back into place too assit on healing but that happened on the table anyways so whether he has it or not doesnt really change anything. The only potential plot hole is if you think a domain exhausted yuta should be able to heal a wound like that. Considering his last fight had him bottoming out pretty quily though I dont really see how that would be case.

He probally could have healed up with rika mode but thats eating into his already very limited time to be on the filed as gojo. As for just going out normally without the gojo plan he probally cant even recast his domain it is normally considered 1 per day limit. And even if he could he doesnt really have the known skills to make it last without making this body hop. And theirs no reason to think he can cast 3 so it would ultimatly be way less effective

Not gonna lie, I feel like Yuta getting completely halved (chapter 261 shows the results) would have broken the barrier nonetheless, I think he just controlled where it would break first cuz if it broke anywhere Sukuna could've seen Maki coming from a mile

Doesn't the object or person need to be imbued with cursed energy for his technique to work?

I bet you instead of completely killing Sukuna, all Yuta does is burnout the remaining Domain Pathway of Sukuna before Yuji deals the final blow

Reason he doesn't deal the final blow (if he even has a chance) is probably him suddenly starting to regret jumping in Gojo's body instead of copying Blood Manipulation

Besides Yuuta being unable to heal the damage because he can't copy Juji or Chozo's superhuman contitution, he also would lack the Six Eyes needed to master Limitless. the eyes are physical thing separate from the brain so I can only assume it's not as simple to copy as other techniques, so if he tried to copy Gojo he would just get an innefficient cumbersome Limitless and while has access to nearly enless curse energy via Rika he's still limited to how much he can pull and use at a time. Fusing Gojo with his techniques and experience with his variety would seem like a surer way to win.

I actually was occupied thinking about the real plot hole instead of thinking about this move in as stupid choice.

which is why the heck is six eyes still in gojo's body ?

From kenjaku we have known that the six eyes takes different users immediately after their death to be prepared for the merging ritual with tengen and star vessel so it won't make any sense that he will still have it in his body.

but here when it clicked with me, what if the cult that paid toji to kill reko belonged to kenjaku what if he planned everything from the beginning that way to get the six eyes , having toji a guy who has heavenly body restriction that literally been stated to define fate and world physics to broke the chain of fate of the Merging retual making gojo the last and only six eyes user.

And on top of that what if he was able to know the confined of his black box technique and was able to upload his consciousness into it so when yuta copied it , it will allow him a chance to have a window to get gojo's body with the six eyes and active the big merger, this is my theory and i think it makes so much sense for everything to not be a coincidence and in that specific way.

So after the 5 minutes the only thing will happen is mommy kenjaku coming back home.

Dont forget that with sukunas newest binding vows, his domain can only keep full output for 99 seconds

Imagine sukuna decided to cleave gojos body Kashimo style to fully remove gojo. That would basically destroy the entire plan

For yuta to copy blood manipulation he would have to have eaten a part of Choso or yujis body to copy it

No matter what he did getting in Gojos body was the best plan in the end, Gojo is so much stronger even if he dies after 5 min he can do good damage to sukuna in that time

It seems that the only people who can do surgery on themselves with blood manipulation are those with the bodies suited to do it, and have had heaps of experience. Also, Rct is needed if your not a half-Curse, so it wouldn’t have really mattered for Yuta

I think when Higuruma opened domain, Maki could entered in domain and we know Maki doesnt have any cursed energy so Domain's Sure Hit cant recognise Maki's existince. While Sukuna and Yuji are judging Maki could just damaged Sukuna with the Soul Split Katana. I dont know why Gege didn't think about this, maybe he doesn't wanted to end up fight so early.

In all seriousness, yuta probably cant copy every CT. Some are probably specific to the users CE and interpretation

Gojo definitely chose to die. Yuki, Yuta, and Kenjaku have all shown the ability to at least activate their techniques and speak bisected.

now we know that he doesn’t take his teammates’ abilities because to copy techniques he needs to have Rika consume significant pieces of the body, and that if they RCT it undoes the gain. However, in jjk0 we do see him use cursed speech…

Gojo died from it because he’d been exhausted of everything including infinite cursed energy and reversed cursed technique
