Legs/Pull on Tues & Friday
Take Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday off.
My Tuesday session is pull focused with light legs at the end and my Friday is Leg focused with Light Pull.
I did Push Pull Legs in that order and thought it can't be that bad. Tuesday was Pull, Wednesday Legs... I'm still sore in my butt and legs on Sunday 🤣🤣
(also didn't do legs for at least a year, but the pain is real)

ОтветитьI prefer to do deadlifts on legs day, because it’s a kind of leg press… and if I do it on pull day then I have only one day rest before legs day.

ОтветитьI can only get to the gym 3 times a week, have been doing bro splits (chest, back, shoulders + arms) and missing legs. Have seen gains so will see how PPL goes. Years ago i used to do back and bicep, chest and tricep, shoulders and legs. This now seems outdated.

ОтветитьI've been a bit fan of 6 day push/pull. Quads and calves on push day and hammies and pull or can do
Day 1 chest+push
Day 2 back +pull
Day 3 push without chest
Day 4 pull without back
Day 5 chest+ push
Day 6 Back + pull
So hit i everything 3x a week except chest and back that I usually like more rest

ОтветитьMy only question with PPL is where does shoulder day fall into this? Overhead presses are pushes but deltoid raises are pulls.
ОтветитьHi Jeff, how can I adopt your PPL using my body weight? I’m pretty fit and lean from calisthenics. I can do my body weight workout in the hotel rooms (while I’m traveling) etc. but not sure how to incorporate ppl with body weight workouts. Would you have a video addressing this?

ОтветитьI do upper body, cardio, lower body, off day, upper body, lower body, and cardio. Cardio days are like kickboxing n juijitsu. If I feel slow or tired that day I just don't go hard.

Should i do PPL or the traditional 4 day split Shoulders , leg , Chest and back ?
This is phenomenal. I have modified this to just having one legs day per week as I have always felt my legs to grow easily. I am talking about squatting 315 for 8 and not training legs for 1 month and going back to find out I can squat 325 for 10. So, if you fall under this category you can give Pull Push Legs Rest Pull Push Rest a chance.

ОтветитьI'm doing a 6 day ppl. If I'm doing 6 sets on chest and 6 sets on shoulders per workout that gives 24 sets of pushing per week. Jeff says to pull as much as you push. Do I need to do 24 sets of back per week? That's a lot of sets for back.
ОтветитьI’m doing the PPL split, which I really enjoy. I’m only doing the 3 day split tho. What’s better to do the first set for 8 weeks then swap over to the second PPL set for 8 weeks? Or just alternate sets each week? I feel 2 weeks between the same st may be a bit long?

ОтветитьI don’t use ppl strictly because it makes progressive overload on the second and third muscle groups I hit impossible Imo for example if I hit heavy bench press no way am I also gonna be able to get my goal reps for shoulder press or something like that
