I think to get away from the Minnie Mouse vibes of that red polka dot top, you have to lean in to what's opposite of the Minnie vibes. For instance, everything else in your outfit should be dark and edgy, or punk, athleisure, or office siren. That way the rest of the outfit balances out the cuteness/girliness of the top.

I used Indyx and I used to used OpenWaredrobe but it was bugging but it was free .... as for Indyx you need to pay for the stats which is a minus for me. But are similar and pretty easy to used. What I love about the app in general is the usage stats soooo What I love the most its the collections /Capsule when I need to travel ... it make easier to plan your outfit and have a overview of what you bring and how many outfit you can wear during your stay.

I don’t know if I would have described your wardrobe as neutral! Maybe in color, but definitely not in silhouette and texture. You have a talent for styling unique pieces. I’ve been thinking about digitizing my wardrobe as well so thank you for sharing! ❤❤

maybe it's about age but it's wild to me to imagine only having one item over 5 years old. i guess people's preferences and sizes change a lot more than mine! i've had to get rid of a lot over the years (size, wear, decluttering) but i have a fair amount from high school and college, 10-20 years ago

I've thought about using on of these organizer apps, but it seems so daunting to take all the photos. People even do all their jewelry and accessories too? It's just so many items. Do they let you tag things or put them in categories for thrifted, handmade, etc? So that you can filter your closet and see just the thrifted items?

i JUST started cataloguing and i totally agree with taking photos as you go cause i can just look at the brand and size immediately. I also really like your idea of doing it by season cause rn its winter here in India and as all my winter clothes are very accessible to me now I am aiming to just catalogue now to reduce the overwhelming sensation lol ❤

"the other app" is better than indyx. i'm so confused how all influencers prefer indyx. "the other app" is more fun too!

I use Stylebook. $6.99 one time fee. You can categorize everything, make your own categories, create looks, inspiration etc. Took me a couple of weeks of taking photos of each category. Almost finished. Using the images from websites you’ve purchased from work great too!

I use Stylebook and try to find online images of the product wherever I can (saves me having to lay everything out and take photos). If there's no image then I'll take a photo. I forget if I paid for the app, but I use it every day and it has been a great way of tracking what I wear every day and for seeing what my cost per wear for each item is.
