how do the trains run without the wire? Do they have residual power still in them to move?

The guy said in that in the one video about Mianus that Amtrak can’t afford to screw this up. To make matters worse, the old Acela won’t have two pantographs anymore, and the new one has only one, so if they mess up this phase gap with one pantograph, they’re stuck like ACS-64s also.

This must be hell for Amtrak.
