niceeeeeee thanks for the tip
ОтветитьJust did this on a 2010 MacBook Pro with a £3 tube of rubber solution and it worked perfectly! The existing surround had crumbled away so I put blobs of cement around the edge with a toothpick to create an array of little bridges (like a tie fighter cockpit). Once the bridges were dry I painted in the gaps with more rubber and force dried them with a heat gun.
ОтветитьI can't tell the difference between the before and after because I'm watching it on a macbook with broken speakers xD
ОтветитьI am a bit confused, i got a new speaker in my MBP, but the problem still persists. Could there be another reason? Would it still help to use glue? thx in advance
ОтветитьThank you. Worked for me too.
ОтветитьBIG LIKE, worked like a charme ... god bless you
ОтветитьDoes this work fine with white glue or do I need to buy cement glue
ОтветитьThank you SO much for this video my brother‼️🙏🏾💯
Ответитьjust fixed the "subwoofer" of the 2012 MBP 15" unibody.with "shoe goe" that had been sitting in a drawer for a decade and it works! While i was at it i also unscrewed the high frequency part on the right side and cleaned the sheet now the right side is louder ad clearer than the left.
If you keep the stuff only where the speaker is broken the mass to be accelerated will be less and thus the speakers sound more accurate. Regards!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, this worked so well for me!!!!!!!!! I have a 2021 14" macbook pro (a2442) where the speaker would pop every 20 minutes or so when playing audio which I guess was ok, but kind of annoying. Then came one day when I was playing the song Wait by NoMBe and it would pop every 20 seconds??!! Enough was enough so I searched for a solution and found this video. I was able to use elmers rubber cement + a fine paint brush + a hairdryer to apply thin coats of glue and dry it. I didn't even need to take out the actual speaker components which was a major plus for me. I tested it out by playing that same song on repeat a few times and no crackling sounds anymore :))
ОтветитьI used an Egg tray and shaped it. , then i just put on double sided tape. Thanks for this video i came up for the idea.
ОтветитьTy brodie
ОтветитьI did this a while back and it started farting again so i just opened it and ripped the lil speaker out the square housing. Now no sub but sounds clear. I dont really need the sub anyway lol
ОтветитьI added glue and the rattling is gone but the volume is WAY down. How do I bring the volume back up again? Did I damage something when I sealed it with glue? OR should i give it 12 hours and trying listening to a song again. HELP. Thank you SO much.
ОтветитьGreat great greatttttt
ОтветитьThis is a B** to access the speakers on a 15"—but can confirm, this fix works! Plan for 2-3hrs all said and done though. It's 3am here :|
ОтветитьHi there the rubber cement you use is no longer on your amazon link, would you say bicycle repair rubber cement is best rather than rubber shoe cement ?, I wonder which is best for the job cheers:)
ОтветитьMagic
ОтветитьThanks for the idea... i did not have this product, so i just put some ducktape on top of it and it works... not like a new speaker but i would say 80% better then how it was. Was too curious to see if it can works.
ОтветитьIT WAS ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS AND I WAS ABLE TO REPAIR MY MACBOOK SPEAKER AND ITS WORKING FINE THANK YOU
ОтветитьI wouldn't put the glue all over the speakers, just the outside ring. Going to try on my 2011 MBP
ОтветитьThanks. You saved me almost 5000₹. I was planning to purchase a new laptop as apple was not able to provide original speakers
ОтветитьWorked for me! Thank you!
ОтветитьThat was amazing! thank you. mine were all narly and I added till i got a good seal an now i can video conference and listen to videos from my computer again. Thanks for this content!
Ответитьbro, you just saved me a bunch of money.Thqnks alot.
ОтветитьNice video but what actually causes this in the first place this always seems to happen I have changed about two pairs of MacBook speakers already cents
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Question: It was not clear how long the rubber cement should be allowed to dry?
ОтветитьIs the MP shown in the video an early 2015?
ОтветитьWorked great. I didn't even pull the speaker back, just squeezed the glue between the speaker and the enclosure. It dried in about 5 minutes and was good to go. The speakers themselves were in terrible state, so very surprised at how good it turned out.
ОтветитьI think I blew mine from using audio hijack on a major compression. we'll see after a restart.
Ответитьvery messy method but if it worked for you good
ОтветитьIt worked 100%. My MB Pro 2015 is now fixed. Thanks a lot :)
Ответитьcan I use Synthetic rubber adhesive instead of rubber cement?
ОтветитьThanks for the video. You saved me a lot of trouble. I've fixed my Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2015 in an hour. Thanks again man!
ОтветитьHey, is this a fire hazard? Rubber cement comes with 'warning:Flammable" label. Is this a fire hazard when the laptop heats up?
ОтветитьThis fixed my Late 2013 13" Macbook Pro, thank you sooooo much!!
ОтветитьThank you very much. This solution worked on my macbook perfectly!!
Ответитьi only have one speaker? not two
ОтветитьI love the vid.
Ответитьnice idea
ОтветитьI have a mi notebook pro that has Harman Infinity speakers on them. new, they are loud and I think that is where the problem lies. These are tiny speakers and Apple and Xiaomi are boosting these speakers to the point that they break earlier than most. not a problem for them as by that time these would be out of warranty anyway. Ordering the zefal cement now. hope this works.
Ответить"I'll show you how to turn this: *fuzzy sound in video*
into this: *still fuzzy sound because I'm playing the video through my blown laptop speakers* "
😄
where did you buy that rubber cement? i have that issue now :(
ОтветитьThe difficult part is NOT fixing the speakers (or simply buying replacement speakers). The diificult part is getting the speakers out. On the 15" models you need to remove the fans, heatpipe/cooler, logic board, IO board, SSD, Wifi adapter, wiring harness, etc to get the speakers out as they are partly underneath the IO and logic board. Basically to get the speakers out EVERYTHING minus the battery needs to come out. If you are going to go through all that trouble -- and risk breaking something else in the process -- just buy new replacement speakers for $20~30 a set. Trust me, you don't want to do it again.
ОтветитьThank you mate
ОтветитьThank you so much! Your way is the only thing that fixed my speaker! I used epoxy sealant and waited 4 hours for it to cure. The speaker sound is not as loud as before but the rattling sound was gone. Saved a few hundred bucks doing this. THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьYou applied too much glue.. the glue might seeping into the coil. Can use cotton bud to apply the glue.
Ответитьthank you its work great.
Ответитьif my speaker connector comes off the board, is it possible to fix it?
