I’m gonna be that guy.
Correct: Brachiosaurus “brah-kee-oh-saw-rus”
Incorrect: Bronchiosaurus “bron-kee-oh-saw-rus”
As in: “That Brachiosaurus does not have bronchitis.”
This movie never gets old. Truly a masterpiece 👏
Ответитьwell, one was made with passion and the recent ones purpose is to milk it
ОтветитьHoly shit. I just watched the 30th anniversary rerelease at a theater, which was stupidly updated to 3D, and they freaking cropped these scenes to the wider aspect ratio. So stupid. The brontosaurus’ head was still out of frame when the camera was finished panning up.
ОтветитьAye AD…I don’t wanna hold you, I know you a important man and your time is valuable.
BUT bro
“What color are your eyes..?”
The first movie have aged like a good wine. It looks really good even today, when we used to top notch CGI. Back then Spielberg used all his tools smartly. Not like today "just stomp green screen in every shot"
Ответитьof all the Jurassic franchise films, the original is the only one i can still go back to and enjoy today, the rest are either ok in parts or just depressing tbh
ОтветитьIt’s the director and creativity. But the aspect ratio is so good. Nowadays everything is so CGI it’s meh
ОтветитьAll these years later and man that first sequence with the Brachiosaurus still takes my breath away and brings a tear to my eye. It's film making wonder at its purest. Everything comes together perfectly, the filming is exceptional as ever from Spielberg, the characters are both well cast and performed, the music is god-tier and the effects are still incredible. Just a perfect film
ОтветитьThis video puts word on my feelings about nowadays films. They show pictures, while original Jurassic Park made us feel the story thanks to the genius way it was made
ОтветитьFirst, Jurassic Park is one of, if not my favorite movie of all time. Lost World was okay, but the rest of the franchise is dead to me.
Second, this video isn't just a video about Jurassic Park being a masterpiece, it's a lesson in cinematography and really breaks down the anatomy of a scene psychologically.
As long as i can think, I kinda cringe every time i see the practical Dinosours of JP1, i pretty much allways can tell they are practical, which breaks my immersion, the movement is to stiff/unatural.
With pretty much every of the JW movies it is the opposite, every time i see the Dinos, they look and acto to CGI like.
I know I'm late to the parade, but do y'all see how the first movies Brachiosaurus is far larger than Fallen Kingdom's? To be fair, I can't remember whether it's said in the latter movie whether it's a juvenile or not, but I would rather be wrong than have to watch even one scene of that movie again to fact-check.
ОтветитьNot feeling so hot, and this was strangely comforting and well done. Thank you!
ОтветитьThe camera work is better. The design is better. The lighting is very intentional and not just cool for cools sake. And the editing is masterfully done because it just lets things happen rather than trying to bring life to it that is missing. Everything in the first film has visual language that hints at dinosaurs and theme parks. It has much better use of camera and visual progression through how the camera is positioned, the shapes they play with, depth, etc. The other films riff on visual language that is more science fiction film trends of the time rather than thematic to the story overall. Then they try to make it work with punchy editing that again is more on trend than serves the story. The first one is better because everything done it is done to support the character, the acting, the design language and the story not try to capitalize in trends. It's just better in the most basic level.
ОтветитьThy use too much CG. And honestly it's not that good. Animatronics looked real. Only 6 minutes of CGI. Newer ones is the whole film.
ОтветитьEverything was done better in the 90s than now. Music, Movies, Tv, sport...
ОтветитьThis video was shown in my film class today!
ОтветитьI want a serious R rated jurassic park film going back the terror that it was. That or a remake of the first one going by the book but also R rated I wanna see the terror in characters eyes.
Ответитьshot every time he says bronchiosaurus
ОтветитьIts a brachiosaurus not a bronchiosauras
Ответить(It doesn’t)
ОтветитьEXCELLENT points! Spielberg brings years of film study to JURASSIC PARK, layering composition, suspense, rising stakes and sympathetic characters to keep us invested and make the big moments unforgettable. The sequels, especially the recent ones, feel informed by a video game aesthetic; every action beat feels like a frantic death match between bosses and avatars. Spielberg proves that an unpredictable, slow-building cat and mouse game between monster and prey is much more impactful. The whole of JAWS (1975) is built on that principal. Always enjoy your stuff, man! Keep 'em comin'!
ОтветитьIt's soo funny...
The principles, when they lay down like that, feel... Technical and how it may not be that much of a thing but subconsciously these are the exact things we felt
When you just said claustrophobia and Scale... I felt it.
It almost instantaneously felt accurate
It's not even a question. When I watched Jurassic park, I never even thought how these dinosour's exist coz I was too young.
But after watching some later sequels, I just went back and watched it.
And the Dinosaur still felt real. I couldn't even feel the existence of CG ... I felt it more in even the most recent movies over this movie
How TF is still confusing for me
It also looks better than any other movie that used cgi
ОтветитьThe original mastered the feeling of claustrophobia, helplessness and horror. The newer ones focused on action and excitement, it basically drove away a lot of the original fans
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьGosh that initial T Rex roar is STILL terrifying
ОтветитьIt also helps that the dinosaurs in the first movie and lost world particularly had slower and more animal like movements, which tends to fair better for simulating realism for CGI, where as Jurassic World, is pretty much cartoonish and very over the top, with animal models now seen as outdated, that it just doesn't mesh well for realism. As well as the dinosaurs becoming too sentient and unnaturally human-like with personalities.
ОтветитьExcellent analysis thank you
ОтветитьHere at 4,181,150 views. (before that too)
ОтветитьThe sequels didnt make me pull my leg up
ОтветитьTill now no film beats Jurassic park
Ответитьthe first movie is about drama.
from the second movie onward it's just about boring action with jokes ( as the majority of blockbuster movies nowadays )
I wonder what it'd be like to have Spielberg direct the Saw movies
ОтветитьThe Lost World is also the same in ratio and scale. It's a great film as with the first. 😌
ОтветитьFunny because the Lost World looks BEYOND better than this film. They used the same techniques and really nailed the practical effects. But hey, let's just pretend.
ОтветитьI think that the Jurassic Park is unique because of the perspective. It feels like the film is based on respect for the animals. Showing respect and giving the message that nature will win no matter what-which is an intertemporal message- makes it realistic, even those animals went extinct. The sequels are sci-fi, promoting technology and showing great technological accomplishments which makes the film unrealistic. It's like watching flying cars in the 90s; it felt so distant, so imaginary.
ОтветитьMaybe the lazy retards at Universal shouldn't have rushed their shit.
ОтветитьLess is more
ОтветитьThe difference isn't scale and framing, it's a director with skill versus ones without.
Ответитьjust the dvd cover alone is better than all the movies of this generation combined
Ответитьmy only regret in life so far is not being born early enough to see this masterpiece in theater i would pay extra to see this today in imax
ОтветитьCreaking Skull
ОтветитьSpielberg films have aged incredibly well - even his works from the 70s
ОтветитьITS A BRACHIOSAURUS
ОтветитьTitanic and Jurassic park , the best horror movies of the 90s 😂
Ответить
