You should do the same run in Ds2 and if Its too easy for you, you can limit yourself by not leveling up.

You could've picked up 1 divine blessing from sen's fortress behind Ricard in case you didn't get lucky with moss drop, it cures you to full hp and cures of status aliments (poison, toxic, etc)

I know this video is 2 years old but here is some Symbol of Avarice info. It is a guarenteed drop after all mimics are dead, however, the way the game checks this is just by keeping track of how many you've killed. The trick is, chucking a lloyd's talisman at a mimic also counts as killing one. If you punch a mimic after a talisman, it will get up and you can chuck another talisman at it and therefore stack "kills" on just one mimic. Make sure you let it's animation fully play out before hitting it again. I think you need to buy 3 talisman's from the undead burg merchant after looting the four in firelink shrine and then you can get the symbol of avarice guarenteed from the very first mimic you encounter in Sen's Fortress (all 7 talismans used and then a kill). Pretty useful trick if you ask me.

This is very close to my dream run. The goal isnt to use no bonfires, but to extinguish them all. You can still use firelink and the lordvessel because they are unavoidable. But you have to kill the firekeepers as soon as possible, to free them. I honestly think this was an intended path by the developers but was cut due to time and design limitations. There are so many blatant hints in the game. All the firekeepers are tortured prisoners who help the undead through their own grace. You really think Lautrec was evil by killing the firelink shrine keeper? He was freeing her from imprisonment. And you just went and returned her for your own selfish gain. She even says she didn't want to return. Why do you think Lautrec is favored by the goddess of love and protection? He says you're a fool, "just another lamb to the slaughter". I fully believe that extinguishing the fire is the only way to truly end the undead curse. Both of the real endings only mean you've embraced being undead and you've only kept the fire alive for power anyway. You know all your friends that went hollow? Yeah they're still hanging around in perpetual torment.

I swear I would become a twitch streamer and do this myself if I had the skill or time. But other people seem much more fitted to do it. It's crazy to me that all the people who love this game have never really thought of this. Am I taking crazy pills or what?

Still no over encumbered runs on your list but this definitely sounds difficult.

Maybe it's just my biased but I think Dark Souls 2 is easier than Dark Souls 1.

I haven't done a run in years, and the video is 2 years old, but after killing O&S can't you kill Sif, then Four Kings and place the Lordvessel with Kaathe, or do you really need to ring the 2 bells?

In each of the dark souls games you get one more leveling lady.
In ds1 you have 0
In ds2 you have 1
And in ds3 you get 2, one being the normal one and one related to a questline

Then you go back to being maidenless in ER

I will never do this run, but its super fun to see people doing it

Pro tip, there's an even easier way to dodge Nito's sword dance. If you're two handing a weapon and block with it, your legs spread wide enough to change your hit box to the point that it won't hit you. You don't have to worry about timing rolls at all then.

I'm pretty sure you could kill the Four Kings in 2 cicles. Drop something on arrival for guidance and attack just after the killing blow, as the hit box still exists and the real boss is underneath the arena (the displayed boss bar isn't trully collective). Whenever you hit one king's hit box, the collective hp bar depleates even if you arleady killed the particular king.

It baffles me that anybody can do the o&s fight hitless. Ive practiced this fight low lvl at least 50 times with the crystal halberd w/ 5 estus and still use up all of them before phase 2. If anybody can give me tips and advice, plz do so because I fucking hate this rng fuck-feast of a fight.

Strike daamge skeletons are so goofy... I only went through the catacombs after beating the other 3 great souls (I totally missed the entrance during my foray into the graveyard!) so I was one-shotting them with a spear. Not quite the same effect

I learn with squillakilla, at the spear mimic, use loyd tals, pick the spear, hit tht mimic once, use another loyd talis after the mimic full stretched, do this like 5 times and u will get one SoA at the end
