Honestly,. the voice acting all around this video is pretty damn bad. Well, maybe Kael´thas is decent, rest is pretty bad. Shame its not the original but he stays faithful to the original with his pauses and focuses on names and other important words.

The idea of walking around with Kael'Thas hovering above you like a kid with a balloon still absolutely cracks me up.

They added a kneeling animation for Kael in the cutscene where he meets Illidan. They really seem to have touched up on the moments that would be relevant to Shadowlands.

Wow has turned into an overly wordy, neurotic, soap opera for female players that don't exist. I don't know what's going on in Activition, but I wouldn't invest in it.

okay wtf did they do to my beautiful kael in the wc3 remake in those flash back scenes, lol. he looks like a beefy ken doll with a giant meaty chin and we all know his elf bones are more slender than that lol. at least in shadowlands they kept his Canon beautiful slender form. fan furling hard here, also still having heart pains the way they retconned him twice and give him no justice

kaels old voice actor from wc3 was perfect, so much better than this new guy. yet in the wc3 remake they made him a beefy he-man face, which doesn't fit him. and lore wise he was retconned twice, from turning him into a mustachioed cackling villian the moment he set foot in outland to a full on second retconning in shadowlands where he becomes a pompous childish brat which they punish him for, yet which he never was. he was retconned that that is what he was but he never really was that! and honestly he was a quiet spoken prince (yes with some princly arrogance) up until the retcon as you can see from his voice in wc3 and the books vs shadowlands and the new terrible voice actor. shame they shat on his lore so much, and to this day he's denied justice. the writing really is bad, or else so many people wouldn't be upset. you can bring in new material without tearing up lore of old beloved charchters. it's like in TBC when they first retconned him and just suddenly make him and Vashj ultimate evils cause they wanted a quick boss to throw in, and wrecked what could've been endless awesome story to grow by just knocking them off as cliched baddies. lazy stuff for deadlines and a quick check, now they are like Disney unable to create any new good stuff without milking the husks of good charachters. if they were respectful to kael and vashj true lore, we could be teaming up with them to kill the scourage and fight the sanlayn and have endless opportunities. or even just closure would've been nice for these long time heroes where kael at least gets justice. i can only cope by telling myself he made a clone of himself to leave in shadowlands, while the real him peaced out to Dota2 as the Invoker.

Kael did not abandon his people... nor did he truly corrupt them. He did betray them even though that bit of writing is utter garbage. The fact they had Vashj go to Maldraxxus say Kael had a shortage of victories any more than Vashj did is utter garbage as well. I despise these writers.

Thanks for posting these, I stopped plying in BFA because of the story and the game just wasnt fun anymore, but man I miss the lore sometimes

There isnt much of a change in the voice, in the acting tho... Kael was never arrogant, not sure why he is so arrogant now.

Terrible writing. Same name, completely different character and personality.

Ironic that the "punisher" character is the same voice actor as Vashj, yet Vashj helped Kael'thas get away from such doomed outlooks.
Instead we get a judgy judy telling Kael he fucked up when he KNOWS he fucked up. He just wants justice. Who doesn't?

One big failure that Blizzard has inflicted is making their characters so blazing snobby.

Having Vashj back as a protagonist was the best part of Shadowlands. Everyone simps for Azshara but Vashj is the kind of woman who gets things done properly.

I've farmed Ashes of Al'ar enough times to know what Kael'thas actually sounds like and this ain't. That being said, I really really love this voice actor, Same guy who did Axel from KH2/3 and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid Revengeance.

did kael'thas mention about mal'ganis since arthas followed him to northrend after culling of stratholme and picked uo frostmourne after he picked up frostmourne he killed mal'ganis but he became corrupted and killed his own father people and destroyed his own kingdom since arthas was once crown prince future king of lordaeron and paladin knight of the silver hand.

Kael Thas is the biggest What if in WoW history.

This version is pathetic. The Kael Thas from WC3 was far better written, grounded and had more sense.

Kael'thas was the real hero of WarCraft III. WoW destroyed his character, shocking.

bullshit, this is all such bullshit, revendreth misinterprets all of kael'thas' actions!

Kael'thas was sent to die by his only alliance "ally" He had to get whatever help he could just to SURVIVE even if the source was unsavory, reminder that 90% of all high elves were killed because of the scourge! this is beyond the point of desperation, also because the sunwell was gone his people also had to deal with magic addiction on top of their ruined homeland, lost family and displacement.


Fleeing from the alliance was the correct choice, how could a leader just accept all his people being executed for such bullshit. He really had no choice but to go to outlands, the man was trapped.


I'm pretty sure illidan's solution of "feeding on demonic magic" is what made him vulnerable to kil'jaedan's seduction, considering how magic addict his people were i'd say he got caught at a bad time.

His downfall was sad and blizzard REALLY screwed over one of their best characters by writing him like that in burning crusade, such a fucking waste.

Considering vashj was really only a servant and kael was so full of pride, this is kinda fitting for them to poke jabs st each other

If you think about Kael'thas Sunstrider was a by product of another fallen prince (Arthas). It was the burning legion who manipulated both of them and used them as instruments to their will. Sargeras himself is the embodiment of Lucifer, both corrupted by their greed and lust for power!
