I keep getting emails about people trying to log into my account, be it iCloud or apple or Microsoft or Amazon. And because I have no trust, if I don’t immediately notice it’s fake, I just close the email(usually I don’t even open the emails, I just see the subject) go log into the actual website or check my Authenticator app, not through the email, and check for any suspicious activity.

But I still get super scared that just previewing that email or opening the email itself, not any link inside it, and then going to my browser and logging into my account will give them info. This stuff is scary and I’m always worried I’m doing it wrong even when I don’t click links and most of the time don’t open emails.

Also checking the Microsoft attempted and failed log ins is so scary. People are constantly trying to log into your account. And Microsoft is just like, oh it failed so no need to worry.

i had a malware on my gaming laptop it would closed done my chrome and would change it from google search to bing it would also add this extension called properties you could remove this and delete the files and they both would come back was no way of finding the real maleware file it was an hiden one only 1 way to remove it is a full pc wipe and reinstall widows and all

the ways they're trying are insane man. I keep getting google drive notifications on my phone for shared files and %100 are malware or scam links. If I don't block pm, I constantly get discord scam messages. I keep getting e mails from random russian mail adresses with documents attached. I wish good luck to people uneducated about these things :(

I literally just use chromebook, game consoles and a smartphone. I don't click email links, even if I'm 100% sure it's real I'll go directly to the site it's from and check the info it's provided there. I don't go to shady sites either. However, since I'm using chromebook and a smartphone for web browsing I don't have any 3rd party anti-virus programs installed on either device only its built in anti-virus. For those in the know, how vulnerable am I to getting a virus? What more can I do to help prevent getting a virus on my phone and chromebook? If anything.

Basic email security is a simple rule everyone can follow.

-Don't click a link on an email unless its a onetime setup link you just initiated.
-Don't download attachment's unless those attachments are expected and or you have the knowledge to verify its not malicious.
-Always have 3 tiers of emails.
1. Top level bills and highly secure services. banks, home provider bills
2. Lower importance services and social media
3. Spam and website signup account. The email you use that they will probably sell.

Emails in the spam-filter are pretty suspicious too, as most of the claims to be a transaction, that haven't been transferred successfully to an account, while also asking for personal details like full name, address etc.

I just delete those after reading what it had in store for pure entertainment 🤡

Very recently I've begun to receive text-messages too, from unknown number with pronunciation-errors and weird link, which I keep deleting too 😊👍
