Bosnia & Herzegovina: Exploring Mostar's Old Town

Check out our awesome day exploring the old town in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. We had a delicious breakfast spread with the most beautiful view of the old bridge, then headed over to check out the war and genocide museum (which is not kid friendly). We learned so much about the history of the Bosnian War from the museum and you can just see the history walking around the city, seeing the abandoned buildings and old sniper tower. We had traditional Bosnian coffee after a lovely demonstration on the proper way to do it. We even took a drive up to Hum hill to admire the beautiful views above the city. And of course, we stopped at the numerous local shops and picked up a few souvenirs. Mostar was our first taste of Bosnia, and we are so glad we changed our travel plans last minute to include it. It is such a unique place, being the closest you can be to Muslim culture, while still being in Europe. We only wish we had more time there.
