ОтветитьThanks a bunch! I mistakenly installed the black cartridge into the wrong slot when changing 2 colors. The black cartridge thereafter was being read as empty, when in fact it was brand new. Multiple attempts to reset (just like you said) were unsuccessful. Your method worked perfectly on my MFC 8900 CDW.

ОтветитьJust want to thank you. I had enough toner for hundreds of pages left in the printer, but after a system restore the toner showed as nearly empty. That would have been two hundred Euros to print a few pages. Brother ought to put this information with the printer.
ОтветитьI've used your video in the past to bypass this problem, but it's not working this time. I literally just filled the toner 2 weeks ago. It should be reading full, but it refuses to. I don't know what to do, it's the middle of the night, and I want to cry.

ОтветитьThank you so much for your help. I canceled the cartridge order. My black cartridge showed full to the top after I reset it. Great instructions, I played your video a couple of times and paused it as need it. I did try a couple times as the first time the screen arrows didn't work so it took me off the reset screen. We just have to be patient, follow the directions and try a couple times. Thank you again.

1. Open the top cover
2. quickly press (back arrow) button & (red x) button at the same time - dont hold, just a quick 2 button press will do
3. IMMEDIATELY press the back button
4. Select the cartridge color you want to reset the count for

Ответитьhey.. it did work for some time, but it now it stayed low, after replacing new (not original) toner. It pretends that tonercounter reset is accepted, but it stays at low value, tried with different drums too
ОтветитьNope - doesn't work for me. I went through the commentaries and tried all the suggestions - at no success. I'm not getting to the reset menu. (Firmware Main Version: 1.34, Sub1 Version: 1.14)
Ответитьthanks for the video. I got the "No toner. open..." error. Following your instructions i reset all counters and was hoping that then the error was gone as all cartridges have been replaced. But printer still thinks i need to place toner. It wont even tell my wich one an dthe funny poart is when i go to the toner life menu item...it shows all cartridges as full...

ОтветитьI'm doing this and going into the correct menu and it says the toner has been reset, but then I go to the home screen and it shows the same toner level for all of the toners. Has anyone else had this problem? Have you been able to fix it?

ОтветитьIt is not showing that any of the cartridges show low toner. It is showing no toner. I have tried this twice and it did not work for me. I'm hoping to figure out what to do.
ОтветитьYou spend a LOT of time not explaining what to do. You then spend a few seconds showing what to do in a very confusing way.
I honestly don’t know what the process is after watching this video.
I’ll keep searching for an explanation that is clear and to the point.
Does anyone know if you can use aftermarket toners in this printer?
