Just bought the Alienware AW3423DWF, waiting for it too arrive on April 11. Got it at Amazon spring sales. Can't wait to get it, and try it on my first PC build, just waiting for the 7800x3d.
ОтветитьCan you guys test innocn 27m2v it's 4k mini led with 1k+ local dimming can get 1K+ full screen nits with quantum dot.
Ответитьi've been watching this channel for months but i still cant choose the monitor i want. I want a 1440p for my i5-10thgen + 3070.
however, the options are not sooo many because i live in south america. i have the coins to pay up to 700-800$.
i play mostly doom eternal but i wanna see it running like i was in Hell itself.
i dont get why anybody else would go for other than oled tvs, u can play in ultrawide format like alienware and have extra space for other tabs above, without spending for extra monitor. Only drawback previous in lg c2 was auto dimming, which gets turned off in newest firmware update.
ОтветитьMy Alienware DWF is coming :D
ОтветитьDo some sound treatment to the recording room please? Your voice always sounds booming around 120Hz...
ОтветитьSo, is a Gigabyte M32UC not true 4k HDR? was thinking of buying the M32UC, but now i am a bit confused... seems everyone says something different about all these monitors and cant find a straight answer anywhere.
ОтветитьI would be nice if you could split out curved panel and flat panel displays in these lists
ОтветитьLg c2 vs asus 43” oled? For 4K competitive/regular gaming and watching videos, please let me know, I need to purchase asap
ОтветитьWhat about nano IPS? I know it is kind of a marketing term, but it does increase the gamma. I bought the Philips Momentum 279M1RV which is due to be delivered, but it claims to have true HDR. Is that a lie?
Btw, I really dislike the blooming that is created by local dimming zones in tech like mini LED, so I thought nano IPS would be better since, even though it would't have the really deep blacks, but at least it would be consistent.
If windows wasn't so untrustworthy when it comes to power management and staying asleep I might consider OLED but the risk of burn in is just too high.
ОтветитьNo mention of Samsung Odyssey OLED G8? Is it simply inferior to that of LG and Alienware presented here?
ОтветитьAll monitors are just cute until you get a real one, 42 or 43inches is next level. Fancy zones with window snapping and Lossless Scaler if your old GPU can't handle 4k and you are golden. I am never looking back.
Ответитьthe first few Alienware monitors listed here are 1000 plus USD monitors. how in the world is their flaws or compromises in a 1000 plus screen.
ОтветитьIf you’re like me, and your job issued you a laptop and monitor, I don’t see how any of the actual monitors make sense when the 42” C2 is 999, and regularly found open box at Best Buy for $850.
If you only use it for gaming it’s a no brainer.
I'm gonna assume most games were made without OLED displays, so it's probably okay to skip oleds for the next 2-3 years...
Unless you develop games, but then you should be get free monitors from LG 😉
Any advise/comments appreciated.... Asus TUF Gaming VG32AQA1A? cant find any review... Thinking of getting this for my bedroom and using it with my older 1070 pc+switch. Mainly for movie/serie-viewing, some gaming. The hdr seems usable at least, just an added option. I like options.
I really need a va panel for me atm for now. Need those blacks/contrast and cant stand ipsglow.. cant go back to ips after using a va/oled(c1) for years. Think flat will be best because viewing distance will be about 180cm/70 inches away, lying in bed.
Advise? Should i just get it? around 350euro seems like great value. Gigabyte G32QC seems like another option, but curved, so not sure..and the asus is a lot newer.
I need a tutorial on how to enable HDR on windows without all my SDR content looking washed out
ОтветитьIf the OLED HDR monitors can only achieve 250nit at 100%, wouldn't a 400nit IPS panel look better in cases like games that are using bright colours or websites that aren't contrast rich?
Well... anything that isnt contrast rich
What about QLed?
ОтветитьIt's a big leap to go from 1440p to 2160p
Hope somebody will come out with 1620p144 and 1800p144 gaming monitor
What'd be terrific would be 32:9 6400×1800p 144Hz HDR400 99%DCI-P3 1600nit Thunderbolt4 DisplayPort HDMI
Don't think anyone really needs 2160p for gaming but for video editing it makes more sense.
32inch QD-OLED 32:9 7680×2160p 240Hz TrueHDR400 99%DCI-P3 2000nit 3×Thunderbolt4 DisplayPort 1.4 3×HDMI 2.1
Would an NVidia GTX5090 32GB GPU card drive that or would someone need two of them?
Hmm... what tech is on the horizon that doesn't have burn-in risks and subpixel layout?.
I’m still waiting for an ultra wide mini led monitor that doesn’t suck, the only ones in the market right now have horrible response times
ОтветитьPeople talk about the nonstandard sub pixel layout but the AW3423DW is my first OLED monitor, I haven't noticed a deal-breaking difference when coding. Burn out is still a concern, but I do try my best to turn off the monitor when I'm leaving my desk for extended breaks. So far, so good.
ОтветитьThe “Avoid These HDR Monitors” section in the time line is confusing.
1. There are no specific models listed
2. You actually say that the following things SHOULD be things to look for, rather than avoided, like the timeline title suggests
Someone new to monitors who watches this but reads the title could be very confused what they’re trying to avoid
I'd really want a great miniled 27 inch monitor
ОтветитьIs there no good 1440p LCD HDR monitors? With at least 144 Hz? Otherwise I would love an OLED as my monitor but working from home makes that not an option.
ОтветитьAre you wearing lipstick??
ОтветитьHow is the LG 32GQ950 for hdr..it has hdr 1000 right..
ОтветитьI realize that the title of your video is 'Best HDR GAMING Monitors', but I honestly wish you would consider adding a category of best HDR monitor for double duty as gaming and productivity monster. The Samsung, with its' curved screen, leaves much to be desired on that front. The remainder of your recommendations were OLED's, so folks looking for just such a result got rocks.
Other than that, I truly appreciate your fine content!!
On my LG 27 1440p 144 hz monitor, happy about it compared to my old viotek that limped along until Wednesday when it died
ОтветитьHi! If you had the option of g85sb and dwf for the same price which is the better buy? Just discovered and loving your vids!
ОтветитьSo no flat panels so far!
ОтветитьSO the best HDR monitors of early 2023, are OLED, and ULTRA EXPENSIVE, and still pack screen burn in. Wonderful. You could have stated that at the beginning of the video, as honestly this video is useless to me, looking for a QHD monitor with HDR, at a mid level budget. This video is so out of touch with the global cost of living crisis.
ОтветитьWhat is your recommendation for buying the best budget 32 inch monitor for PS5 in July 2023?
ОтветитьOLED looks amazing... but being at risk of burn in I just can't do it. I have experienced burn in and it's a deal breaker.
ОтветитьFirst of all gaming these days is essentially online gaming. Virtually no one plays single player games anymore so the fantasy of having deeper blacks and whiter whites really doesn't cut it anymore. Second OLED is rubbish in its current immature state as far as computer monitors go. A quick 3 minute read of the reviews of the current generation of OLED monitors and the reports of horrible unreadable text and weird colour fringing are only a few of what seems to be occurring. So when you factor in the fact that most people really only ever play online games and are not hugely concerned with watching HDR movies on their tiny computer monitor OLED starts to look incredibly expensive and quite honestly not worth the hassle. If I want to watch great HDR content I will watch it on my G1 LG OLED 65 inch TV not on some tiny 27inch screen.
ОтветитьStill no flat 27-28" 4K HDR non-OLED - shame
ОтветитьI just purchased the Samsung neo g7 for $300 open box and it's amazing!!
ОтветитьSo what about a 4K monitor with great HDR that’s flat, 27-32’’ that performs really well??
ОтветитьIs there a monitor just like the Neo G7 but with the curved display? I want it to be flat and matte if possible. Price is not an issue.
Ответитьbro grabbed an odyssey neo g7 for 440 bucks off ebay so we shall see how it comes in. it was a display model for a store but looks good otherwise
Ответитьi bought a PG42UQ yesterday and tried some games with and without HDR and i just dont get excited by it. What am i doing wrong? What should i look for? It looks often much better in SDR (for example in Red Dead Redemption i lost a lot of saturation in HDR) and so i start to think this OLED HDR thing doesn't really apply on this model. (updated to latest 040 Firmware also)
ОтветитьDon't buy the Alienware. Alot of people are having the same issue as me and dell won't give a solution. The monitor will fall asleep (itself not based on your pCs power options) and won't turn bakc on. All the lighting etc will but you can't get into the menu and the screen is just black. Dell hasn't given a solution to this. It's not as easy as unplug and plug back in. Unless someone here can help its a big issue especially if it's after the 1 year warrenty or you lost your receipt
ОтветитьI am a bit confused. First you mention a monitor should at least be capable of 600 nits peak brightness, but then you recommend the LG 27GR95QE which has a peak brightness of 200 nits...
Ответить900$ for a 1440 p monitor 😂 why just not by a 4k for that price
ОтветитьI think i got the best HDR monitor for an IPS edge lit panel, the HDR is just incredible at a good price, it's the alienware aw2724dm
ОтветитьAre you guys planning on visiting this type of video again for beginning of 2024 as the C4 release is nearing?
ОтветитьI'm looking for a monitor and cannot stand the fact that you have to go through the specs of every single fucking monitor to see if they're actually HDR. What a fucking waste of time.
Ответить
