is FSR meant to be used for native res like 1080p? i tried FSR 1 and 2.1 but they made leon’s hair blurry as fuck

I just tested the demo with native, fsr1 and fsr2 at 1080p (I know it is not a good res for upscalling, I was just testing) and I liked FSR1 more in this game. FSR2 looks too blurry even on quality, while FSR1 you get "only" jagged edges (not that much). Semms like FSR2 is not well implemented in this game specifically

For those who possess wide screen monitor or TV and won’t sit too close while they play the game, the FSR quality mode is still not too bad. But I really have to say the performance that FSR shows in Resident Evil 4 remake is not as good as the one it has in Resident Evil Village. In Village, the image given by FSR’s ultra quality mode is barely different from the native image. At that time, I really thought the FSR was the future and hope. Unfortunately, Capcom and AMD failed me this time.😢

FSR1 ultra quality barely makes a difference. Once i get into performance or ultra performance on both, then the differences starts to go wild. But at that point the internal render is like 720p for a 1440p output...it actually still looks great but can definitely see certain things not resolving properly, especially edges and hairs or small micro movement things that move none stop and don't give the AI time to figure things out

I really hope fsr 1.0 doesn't go away. Yes, it has it's limits, but it's a fantastic upscaler that works well on literally all graphics cards out there. I think all future games should include all three options, fsr 1.0, fsr 2.0/3.0 and DLSS. Fsr 2.0/3.0 and DLSS are great, to be sure, but the results can be unpredictable.

I didn't like the FSR implementation, it makes the game blurry, like in RE2R and RE Village I think interlaced mode looks better and offers the same performance improvements, at least at 4K, don't know if at lower resolutions it will look bad.

An engine this well optimized doesnt even need FSR or DLSS imo. Though i love that the feature even exists. Everytime i use it i never notice a difference at 4K. Sometimes the vegetation looks weird, but il take that for an easy 10-20+fps gain
