WHY would Adobe release Page Builder to Magento Open Source?

They’re going to convert open source customers to Adobe Page Builder.

Adobe will have to kill Open Source. For me magento os will need demoting to a PIM in most merchants stacks. Move to a headless Jam stack, keep magento os as a PIM or OMS but split out any other business logic, including front end CMS. That way when adobe do put it out to pasture your exposure is reduced

Yep, no idea what they're thinking. Clients like it thought, so I guess we'll be developing and extend content types like no tomorrow.

This decision flies in the face of everything I thought I knew or at least was predicting might happen. Sumptins up but darn if I know what it is.
