I have Lubuntu 16.04 that I wanted to connect to from my computer, this guide helped me a lot and here is a short version that made it work for me:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xrdp -y
echo "lxsession -s Lubuntu -e LXDE" > ~/.xsession
sudo ufw allow 3389/tcp
sudo /etc/init.d/xrdp restart

The only thing I had to do on my own was to allow port 3389/TCP to actually connect to it, this all depends if you have firewall (UFW) enabled on your Linux machine, if you don't it will connect just fine. Best of luck.

couple days ago i started a xrdp server but i can't remember what desktop environment it was, then i connect it but later i started firefox and it crashed, i tried start it from terminal and still same problem

Do you have any tips on how to learn Ubuntu better? Like how did you tell it to use .xsession for setting the session? Or is that just what it uses by default? Is there a way to change it? For example, what if I want it to use a file called .mysession would that be possible? And if so... how?

Your instructions for LXDE environment should work for LXLE I would think, but I'm just seeing the "ant race" on the screen. Any ideas?
