Nod Armor - Command and Conquer - Tiberium Lore

I'm thinking cost isn't why Nod stopped maintaining their fleet of subterranean armored vehicles after the Second Tiberium War, because if cost was the issue, then why maintain the Purifier, Avatar war mech, and Redeemer since they'd be more expensive to maintain than the Titan?

It always bugged me that the scorpion tank's 105mm gun was outright replaced by the laser, especially when the mission that introduced the GDI rig had scorpion models with both weapons.

Its interesting how we see NOD and GDI start relatively similar and then diverge more and more as time goes by. Basically almost forming two different "evolution paths" of humanity.

There really is something to be said for just how diverse nods tactics become over the years. They start off with simple hit and run with little more and by the end have stealth, emp, mechanical brain indoctrination/manipulation, and a far improved defence grid to provide a safehaven for such tactics to come from.

I don't know the lore, but in C&C3, Nod armor is strong! Skorpion tanks become nearly as tough as GDI predators when you upgrade the dozer blade. The only thing Skorps fall short is the damage, however, they are cheaper and veterancy becomes a legitimate strategy with Skorpions, whereas you'll rarely see Predators gaining veterancy. And veterancy makes units almost invincible at max rank in this game. That's one of the reasons why my favorite faction was Nod, despite the fact that Traveler can be abused with its broken abilities... I wish this game was the popular rts instead of sc2...

Scorpion tank of Third Tiberium War fame looks like someone put Strv103 inspired "hull"/turret upon Komatsu excavator and gave it a "trench tail" with separate track.

Given how Kane started off formation of Brotherhood by siphoning off soviet funds and equipment, before proceeding to do the same to Yugoslavia and PRC, I have a feeling that light tank 76mm cannon may be implying PT-76 tanks or at least their armaments usage. After all, Nod might have been forced to construct their own vehicles from components "misplaced" by their "donors" thus ending with a Type 62 equipped with D-56T gun.
Or maybe the Type 62 was simply not ready for their reality version of WWII and instead a prototype of Type 62 aka Type 59-16 was instead finished and pressed into service.

The redeemers ability should have been a buff. Its ability never truely worked for me.

A fully upgraded avatar at heroic rank was terrifying.

I remember reading somewhere that, in Red Alert, the best tank platoon mix was three Light Tanks for every Medium Tank. It's also easier to field whole divisions this way.

It a sad i overlookee C&C stuff when I was Younger, I always like looking at the cool stuff people came up with and i guess since i had the series early on, i just thought it was alright?

But oh boy i love the units.
