They are to concern about weight. I see in Europe girls are confident about body. This sommer observation on beach almost all girls wear bikini no matter what. I'm 40 years old and I was thinking I'm super skinny after 2 childbirth, only have little tummy after second birth. So next year I will buy myself bikini. Why not. You must be confident in your on skin. All girls look beautiful if they are confident.

I’m working in a Korean company and works in front of cameras, mind you I’m 165cm and 50kg and still they want me to lose weight as I don’t look slim enough in front of camera and I’m also get shocked as I saw myself on monitor that I actually look fat… korean cameras build different lol.
No matter your height is you must weigh not more than 50kg.. bmi is not a thing there esp if you need to be in front of the camera or people… very strict standard indeed.

In 2001 I never saw a fat Korean lady! They all ate a lot of vegetable side dishes, kimchi's, small bowl rice and big bowl of mostly broth and veggie soup. The biggest clothing size sold was USA size 8. Then came all the Western fast foods, packaged ultraprocessed food, etc. If everyone would go back to the nearly vegetarian traditional Korean diet, they'd be so thin effortlessly.

Why? So much unnecessary stress. The beauty standards there is just on another level

at my height -115, I would be very underweight. i already get many comments saying I’m “too skinny” and how “worried” they are even tho I’m fine. but that number is very low

If you can't enjoy your life while you're on a diet then don't diet. Changing your eating habits to healthier ones is the way to go long-term wise.

I thought the height minus 115 was interesting so I did the math.

At 5’10 I should be 136.87 lbs, by Korean standards.

5’10 = 177 cm - 115 = 62 kgs
62 kgs = 136.87 lbs

I know their all not tall people and want such low body weight is not good. It's not that bad to want to lose weight but the lazy route gets you nowhere. Skipping meals makes you hungrier and intake more calories. Such insane diets can cause medical issues to your body, why now? Because you're not feeding yourself enough nutrients. Calcium/Milk = Bone Structure Carbs/Bread = Energy Zinc/Poultry-Vitamin Infused = Better Immune System Water/Watermelon = Hydration Protein/Meats = Muscles. korean beauty standards are horrible. the fact that they call themselves fat when they aren’t at all. it’s so sad. body dysmorphia is a big thing there.
