Could that hydraulic cement be put into a bag like an icing bag for decorating cakes with a tip and be squeezed into the crack? Just trowelling in on seems not enough.

With respet ok. But that it is temporary and cosmetic fix. First you have to find up what it is causing that problem so fix that and then do what you are doing in this video

For below ground cracks, do you have to clean out the dirt first for the cement to stick?

Iv mixed both before with motar mix works finme.they say use S Mortar 🧱 mix because it softer and won't crumble in cracks or joint's.

Hank, why didn’t you address the issue first? To give people more of an explanation... There are 3 results when reading a crack. If the crack is the same width top and bottom, then it could be concrete shrinking or if it’s on a hill then creeping. If the width is bigger at the bottom than the foundation is sinking at the crack and needs to be lifted/supported. In this case the crack is larger at the top so the corner if the house is sinking and needs lifting. **If you shove in cement then a foundation repair can’t be done.** In this case, the corner of the house can be piered and lifted. The lifting action will close the crack which it can’t do if you fill it with concrete.

I have the same crack and stops right at level of ground .I dug down to check. Should I just cover the crack with cement like this ?

I bought mortar mix. Would that work?

Glad I watched this, I was about to use normal mortar. I’ve found that you can put the cement mix in a large Freezer Zip Lock bag making a caulk gun like for cake frosting. It works great!!

What is the cause of the crack! Typically you missed the whole point..that is structural your patch job is just cosmetic.

What about where the exterior crack continues below ground/ grade, doesn’t that have to be repaired.

NP1 would work almost as good, much quicker too!

how deep does that crack go? if it goes down to the basement floor you just wasted your time. you need to dig it out

In this case, it looks like the crack will continue even underground. Wouldn't it be best to dig up the soil and apply the solution to the entire crack?

Thank you for the video. Im almost certain this doesn't matter much, but, the cracks I have are horizontal and go across the front foundation of the house as well as the front porch concrete pad. That wouldn't make a difference would it?
