I was in the middle of a project and did not upgrade because of the reasons u mentioned...but for some reason it chose to grade by itself when I fell asleep, now woke up and the plugins are missing and it just quits every time I try and open it smh

Does your final cut pro license become void after you update mac os? I've seen this on some forums and I didn't know whether that problem still exists.

very helpful. had migrated my Main library to an external drive, and when my son did the update, it deleted all other libraries that were not on an external drive. I managed to recover all my files after updating. But would honestly say this was by accident

Can I customize the proxy media size and resolution in fcpx?

Does anyone know of plug ins that are optimized for the M1 chip? Pixel Film Studios Plug ins do NOT work with Apple silicone. Huge disappointment. I do all my projects with them and now I'm left with no titles, transitions etc. UGH!

hey when I updated to the FCPX 10.5, I noticed the 'Delete Render Files' option is no longer there!! i'm not sure how i should make space to edit now without deleting optimized or proxy media, and if doing so will get rid of anything I need. Do you know how to get around this?

thx for the tips, I'm currently stuck in 10.4.8 as upgrading to any version higher makes both the Generator & Titles folder disappear in the program itself. Been trying to find a fix to this issue for the longest time but to of no avail. Any suggestions here?

Unfortunately, I updated a few days ago. My issue is when I sign in to my YT account from FCPX version 10.5, and then upload the video, it says the upload is successful, but I can't find the video on my YT account. I go to check if I'm signed it, and it shows that I am not. It's weird bc it shows my upload was successful. Has anyone encountered this?

My temp fix is saving a master file on my desktop and then uploading to YT from my desktop. This is an extra step I would like to eliminate. Pls advise if anyone else has the same issue and a solution. Thanks,

I Can't Do Anything In 10.5 - This Is a Shame On Them. I Can't Believe They Did Such An Usefull Update That Freezes FCPX For Every Single Time

Unfortunately I'm 4 days late to this video. I updated and now when importing from older mindv tapes the audio is GONE. It works 1 literally 1 out of 10 times. I purchased a new firewire to fit my thunderbolt and now its all BAD. Just a week ago I didn't have this problem. Now I'm trying to figure out how to roll back to the older version. May The Gods be with me.

Hi. I recently migrated several libraries to 10.5, I made a backup of all of them in 10.4 in xml ... thanks for the tip on how to return to the previous version, I did not know and it is very simple. I have not had any problems but I hope it continues like this

Great tips. I upgraded to 10.5 and it was a painless transition. I think I got lucky. I’ll definitely back up the libraries in future; that’s a great takeaway tip.

I updated and everything WAS going really well. However, today when I opened it, none of my projects appear in the time line. I see the projects and assets on the left and I see the coverage in the viewer to the right, but the timeline below only shows the icon "New Project" and otherwise black. I can't seem to figure out how to fix this. Any thoughts?
