I think Randy will be in heaven with Jesus, so don't feel too bad.
I really believe we will see him again there.

In short: Fuck this horrible, cruel world we live in.

Despite the fact that I was born 24 years after his passing, I still think it’s complete and utter bullshit that we have to be robbed of living gods like Randy. Like many other wannabe guitarists and musicians, he is a huge inspiration to myself, and I can’t wait to begin studying some of his compositional artwork.

But we can only wonder, had that terrible event never happened, what would he be doing now? What would he have composed? Would he be Ozzy’s guitarist forever? I mean, to my knowledge, Ozzy’s relationship with Randy and the other members was remarkably healthy.

But yeah…despite that awful thing…he still managed to solidify himself as one of the greatest guitar heroes in a matter of a few years. Astonishing.

I don't know if Ed Van Halen did the same thing, but i've heard Randy actually use pitch-bending to play (not just one note as that's common-place, but) shredding licks mid-pitch (halfway between semitones) which is highly unusual and sounds quite eerie.
What a talent! What a tragic loss to music in general!! 💔 And taken so young too; all because of an impulsive act by one reckless drug-fuck!!! 🤬

Unbelievable, Randy was in a plane crash that hit a bus, cartwheeled over, hit a tree , hit a house, then exploded and burnt. The only thing missing would be a train wreck.

The guitar work on quiet riot.... Wasn't anywhere near as good, as the work with Ozzie... And thats because the singer has a lot of influence on how the finished product sounds.

Randy's guitar playing is why I started playing guitar and now own over 20. I was a senior in high school in '82 in East Tennessee and in Knoxville for the concert. They were supposed to be in Johnson City soon after but we couldn't wait. After his death I read everything I could get my hands on about him and his playing. The murder/suicide didn't come out until recently. Before then they blamed it on R&R shenanigans. "buzzy the tour bus" to be exact. After what everyone has seen and written about Sharon, I bet she was part of the coverup. The reason they kept touring was because of Sharon and the almighty dollar.

I think it would be cool if Randy took Eddie's place in Van Halen. Then Eddie played with poison.then cc DeVille would play in ozzy's band. Then Steve via and Jimmy page join poison. Then duff mckaghen and Steve Harris join motley crew and the rock three bases. It would be so cool. Plus, Ringo Star could be the singer for Izzy's band and Ozzy should have ,rather than do reality TV, Ozzy could play the "Ross"character on the TV show friends. And Scott bao could be the singer for led Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder could be in a rage against the machine cover band.

I had tickets for the concert at the tangerine bowl the next day. I was so excited until I got to work the night before and my friend told me randy was killed. I was just speechless. I didn't even want to go but was talked into it. It was the worst concert i just couldn't enjoy myself. Randy was the reason I was going. Sad day for everyone who knew him, his family and his fans like myself.

I believe that the pilot was in the air with Randy and youngblood. I believe the pilot as thay were going in to buzz bus but that last buzz around. I believe the pilot was having life problems and I think he was going to hit the bus and kill everyone.t
The wing were tipping back and forth like Randy was trying to make them miss the bus. I believe it was a suicide and he wanted to take everything out.
I believe Rsndy saved the people on bus, I believe the pilot had told them this ladt round he was going to hit the bus and Randy grabbed the yoke and cause a ner miss

Andrew Aycock's estranged wife was on the bus for the ride to Leesburg, Florida. One of the theories floating around back then was that Aycock's estranged wife was more impressed with the band members and their celebrity status, not with him and reconciling the marriage. When she appeared on the doorway of the bus, Aycock's anger took over and he was trying to take her out. Whatever happened that day 2 people lost their lives, one of whom rarely gets mentioned...Rachel Youngblood. She was a long time employee of the Arden family and was the band's seamstress. RIP

Randy literally died five days before I was born. He was also in Knoxville just a few days prior, which is just 45 minutes from where I was born. Another interesting fact is that my parents named me Randy also. It's silly to idolize legends over similarities I know, but throw in his amazing talent and impact to the music industry and it was difficult for me not too. R.I.P. legend. 🙏🏻❤️

If Randy had lived there’s not a single guitar player
would be able to touch him… Composing songs like Mr Crowley and Diary of a Madman at such a young age is insane!
I’m sure now the EVH fans are going to chime in and talk the usual smack.
I love Eddie but their styles were vastly different

My grandfather was one of the first responders at the scene of the accident. He was a state trooper on patrol who just so happened to be close to the scene. He had no idea who Randy or Black Sabbath or Ozzy or any of those guys we’re at the time. He was in no way a rock fan. My dad was 16 and a huge rock fan at the time. He was saddened by the news, and my pap was naturally upset over seeing the scene, so they bonded over it. Long story short, my pap became a huge fan in the following weeks and still was by the time he passed in 2015. He was in his 70’s still playing Ozzy and sabbath records every time we had holidays or get togethers as a family. That was his go to music. But it was only work involving Randy. No other classic rock. He still hated classic rock. The only other “classic rock” band he could even tolerate was the Eagles. Idk why I’m even posting this. I just found it funny that my old school pap hates classic rock, but became a huge Randy fan simply because my dad said that he shouldn’t listen to the music with him as a way to bond.
