@Learn Share thank you so much I have a question I have a 4TB external hard drive that I want to clone I bought another 4TB external hard to clone it to do I do the same steps to clone the new external the reason I want to clone the same so I could use the new one and computer thinks it's the old one without any flaws? i have macbook pro with 125 gb hard disk with capitan os,i need to change my hardisc to 500 gb.my question is can i take backup of my os to external hard disc?

If I'm using an external disk to do this but this disk already has a backup from another MacBook, creating a new image will rewrite the other data or it will do an additional file?
