I bought a cheap-o black out notebook on amazon and tried to bujo with it. Either I’m impatient or the gelly rolls don’t dry fast enough 🤣🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьNeat experiment! I'm playing around with Curly Girl too, but only half-assedly. I'll be intrigued to see your progress and the products you've tried.
ОтветитьUse the drying/heating tool you use for watercolors on the gelly rolls. Might help.
ОтветитьYour handwriting looks kick-ass on the blackout paper 🕷🕸
ОтветитьThat looks really cool! Can’t wait for the updates. I probably wouldn’t do it myself, but I love seeing others get creative.
Ответитьoooh i love the spooky halloween theme :D the spiderwebs are my fave!
i just uploaded my october setup and did a pumpkin and leaves theme. super excited for autumn!!
I’m actually very excited for this. I know you hate experimentation, but I love watching you experiment. I’d never heard of blackout until now, but I don’t know if I’m willing to buy all the supplies to do it (I currently don’t own any pens). It looks fun though. :)
ОтветитьCindy, I love your nail color 😍
ОтветитьYour lettering is on point! I love your styles.
Black paper seems a bit extra for bullet journaling, but looks like a LOT of fun for doodles.
I was thinking of the bullet journal planner when you mentioned changes.....
ОтветитьLove the Curly Girl spread. You forgot “tangled AF”, “hot mess” and “100% dat b*tch” on your tracker though. 😂❤️
ОтветитьOkay.. I was very much on the fence with the black paper but this is like a full aesthetic.. I'm digging it.
ОтветитьThe dry time is totally worth it, this is COOL AF!!
ОтветитьI have one...I'm going to use it once I'm done with my current one. My thought was to make my Monthly page resemble chalkboard art. I agree..you don't have to try hard the black paper makes everything pop.
ОтветитьTHIS LOOKS SO FREAKING COOL!!!! I remember when I took art in high school they had us draw on black paper with white chalk pastels, it was weird to wrap my brain around the concept of coloring in the highlights and leaving dark areas black! I’m so excited to see how the daily pages and doodles come out :D
ОтветитьI can't decide what it is but this dark paper/light ink contrast actually makes my eyes hurt LOL! I will be following your blackout series with interest though as this is not a trend I am particularly fond of. but if anyone can make it look cool, it will be you.
ОтветитьL🎃VE!!!!!
ОтветитьI’m dying to try black out planning - I even have the same archer n olive book but I’m thinking I’ll start in the new year
ОтветитьSo excited to see this throughout the month
ОтветитьReally enjoyed watching you do more doodles and lettering. Looking forward to seeing it unfold this month.
ОтветитьYou are sooooooo talented! I love watching you lettering in your planners and journals.
ОтветитьI keep gel pens tip down in a cup so they don’t skip so much when I write 🎃
ОтветитьCan’t wait to see how you get on with this. I really want to try it out 😍
ОтветитьIn could never do this because I can't get a stupid gelpen to not SKIP. I would rage quit so hard trying lmao.
ОтветитьWho else paused the video to search for some black paper and white gelly rolls so they could play along with Cindy?!!
ОтветитьI’ve been wanting you to try using your bujo full time for a while. I’m excited to watch your journey this month. However, I bet it’s Gianna be stressful to work with those gel pens. I like the idea of the black out journal for art. But I wouldn’t try it for bujo. The dark page is too harsh for me and dealing with smearing and drying time would be make me mad.
ОтветитьGo for the sparkly. Always the sparkly.✨
ОтветитьI knew it! Been hoarding black paper journals for over a decade and I think I can finally bring myself to use my stash. A NBC daily doodle will look so amazing! I wish this was plan as you go month so I can zen out on those doodles.
ОтветитьI started my curly girl method journey last August and if I can give you any advice: don’t let the information out there overwhelm you! People get really hung up on curl type and porosity and x and y and z, but the simpler the routine, the better! More likely to continue/more sustainable.
I love atoya_thecurlyhairstudio on Instagram. Her flip/coat/scrunch 3-product method has been a game changer for me! :)
From one curly girl to another, stop using gels (they dry hair out and make it frizzy) and start using creams that have coconut in it. Also don't use shampoos or towels as much for the same reason, use a old t-shirt to dry hair.
ОтветитьI would love to try a blackout journal but I'm afraid of committing to one for 6 months!! Maybe after I finish my lemome?... mmm.. does make for a fun video!
I love these cute halloweeny spreads, great job!
Pretty pumped to see the progress of this
Ответитьyou should put a sheet of paper in between the pages that way you can move on and if it does bleed it bleeds onto the sheet of paper not the other side of your journal.
ОтветитьRad set up! I’m intrigued!!!
ОтветитьWow! I was gifted a random black page lined journal when I was a kid! I had no idea they made them in dot grid, perfect for bullet journaling nowadays! I’m going to have to get me some of these!
ОтветитьI applaud your bravery in taking the challenge. Change itself is a challenge. I look forward to watching to watching your weekly updates. Just enjoy being creative.
ОтветитьDo you by any chance have any Posca pens? I've heard they're the most opaque when it comes to whites and a lot of artists use them but they are an investment.
ОтветитьSo I started black out planning 3 months ago shortly after these came out. I had the same issue with drying and smearing. So, I did one whole spread and haven’t gone back. Partly because I’m literally doing NO planning these day’s, just packing for our move from Cali to Austin TX. Still trying to get my Podcast going also. BTW, thanks Cindy for the help and direction. I have my 3 episodes done, I just need to move now so I can launch officially. Calling it, “The Gift”. Stay tuned for more! Launching January 1st
ОтветитьA bit late with watching but what about using blotting paper? I use that when writing with my fountain pen on tomoe river paper and it works like ... I wanted to say tit but that's a Dutch slang expression ... Like a mofo. 😤
Ответить🎃🎃🎃tfs🎃🎃🎃 I have the black and I was a dumb ass and I set up October in my everyday BUJO.... missed opportunity, but totes agree how cool this looks
ОтветитьLOVE❣️
ОтветитьThis blackout journal is so kickass 😩
ОтветитьMaybe use a piece of computer / copy paper to put in between the pages while it dries so you can move on quicker.
ОтветитьI haven't tried it and don't intend to very soon, mostly because I have a color method that works really well for me- which pairs with my school notes and I don't feel like carrying even more pens and figuring a new method out.
ОтветитьWaaaaaaayyyy too much talking, not enough visual stimulation 😬
ОтветитьCan you review your usage on rocketbook
ОтветитьYour candid nature is exciting and calming at the same time. I freaking love your videos!
ОтветитьWhat marker have you found is the most white opaque since doing this video?
ОтветитьBeautiful work
ОтветитьWait. What are you doing exactly on a lettering page?
Ответить
