I tried making the shapes and left them to dry at room temp. After 2 days the shapes had gone flat and lost their shape- what did I do wrong?

If I put the decoration on the cake before a day will the wafer paper wilt? or get softer and loose shape? Any information on timings would be great. Thanks again :)

If I’m going to put the decorations made of wafer paper on whipped cream frosting, should I buy Double Ply Quality 0.60 mm Thickness paper or O-Grade? Because I’m afraid that Whipped cream has a lot of moisture 🤷‍♀️
