It's funny how everybody in the comments seems to be engineers! 🤣

It'd have to lay on it's side in order to properly fit in a car

85% efficiency is impossible for any thermal engine.
Show me the math.

Any development is welcomed when we consider the environmental damage being caused to the earth by using lithium and nuclear power.
The sale of EVs has been greatly exaggerated by our woke governments who's intention may have been to limit or restrict the amount of miles we travel.
Perhaps the Chinese are right in proclaiming fossil fuel to still be the cleanest fuel available.
Who can we believe these days 😮

Is it possible to build a version of this engine at 15lbs? Think of all the light vehicles such as cargo bicycles that could make use of a motor of this type without putting heavy strain on the motor.

Love the concept. Like other commenters, the compression nub needs to be sealed on 3 surfaces along the entire rotor's swing. Mazda has to add oil injection to make theirs last. Wishing you success. If it could be super cooled by the hydrogen's expansion maybe it'll survive on simply precision fit

What I want to know would be how many miles per gallon of hydrogen can it get? And yes, I know, it depends on the vehicle it's used in, so please give me some examples.

Thank you! But I don't believe it could run at that high rpm. And Rpm will be your limiting factor. Thank you.

Does it normally run off hydrogen? What injectors or gas regulators does it use, and if no injectors is there a minimum operating pressure for pressurized fuel tanks? It looks like a very tight tolerance rotary, does it require different diffusers to run different fuels? Is skip fire regulated by the injector (I imagine theres just no fuel injected) and if it uses just stored pressure to feed fuel is it a timed solenoid? Is there an intake port to reuse the higher concentration of exhaust when burning hydrogen? Does it use a condenser in the intake? Can it shed excess vapor if it gets excessive and causes compression losses? Is auto ignition caused by gas cavitation or residual heat?

Fascinating. This has some similarity to sleeve valve engines and rotaries in that it is more tolerant of fuel types and timing. I can see that sealing the rotors and valve ports will be a challenge.

The only issue I see is that the combustion chamber is donut like ,which means the rapid expanding gas will have to travel through a long narrow winding~ passage with lots of surface till reach the exhaust port ,thus lost energy along the way , so my point is the efficiency might be a big question mark . though the concept is quite unique.😁

Ну, установите двигатель на машину, и покажите на что он способен. И вообще нет новостей как продвигается проект. Что с производством? что инвесторами? Есть типа официальный сайт, который давно не обновлялся и всё.

Where do I buy 9 of 'em? At 160 hp/40 lb each, 9 engines should total 1,440 hp/360 lb. This would be very useful in powering axial flux electrical generators.

This engine would need a seal at the apex of those teeth like in a rotary engine, except this engine's seals will have to be constantly disengaging and reengaging the chamber wall; doable, but it would never pass any emissions standards. also the synchronizing gears need to be helical. cool concept though.

Interesting concept, of course the proof will be in the pudding to see if the seals hold up and if you can keep the hot side rotors cooled adequately. It is also hard to see how you maintain low NOx emissions without using EGR or a catalytic converter, even if the fuel is hydrogen. But, best of luck, hope you all at Astron can surmount the challenges.

I would like to see this engine work in a real enviroment. Would you be able to loan me a test sample of the Omega one. What I propose doing with the engine, is swaping it into a full size sedan Namely a Toyota camry and demostrating its ability as a Car engine. My only concern is fabricating a setup for the torque converter and fly wheel to mount to the cars' transmission.
