I actually bought the x-E2 this year for a pretty solid deal. I love it. I know it's old and has some quirks, but it has made carrying around a camera everyday and shooting a ton of fun.
ОтветитьThey messed up on the X-E4 IMHO. No IBIS (like the X-T and X-H) was a mistake, and removing the front command dial eliminated a great workflow. When I had my X-E2 I used the front dial for shutter speed, the rear dial for ISO, and set aperture directly from the lens. When I "upgraded" to the X-Pro2 that option was not available and I never got used to the fiddly combo dial, so I sold it. They fixed the issue (finally) on the X-Pro3 but none of the early reviews mentioned it because everyone was so locked in on that goofy flip-down LCD. Now all these "rangefinder" style cameras are discontinued and no new models have been announced or are even in the rumor mill. I love Fuji, but they sure do make it difficult.
ОтветитьGood luck getting any of these
ОтветитьS10 ...lol you need the s10
Im looking for an x100v
Please bring pocketable point and shoot cameras with film simulations.
ОтветитьI bought a x10, last year, swapping to an x e4 soon
ОтветитьExcelent video ! Tell me what lens do you recommed me for these cameras? Xe2.xe4 etc ..and what do you think about Lumix gx9?
ОтветитьFuji owners always cope and say their cameras make them a better photographer because they paid 1800 for a camera with no features that aren’t that great but visually the body looks nice 😅
ОтветитьI’ve a T, 2 F’s and now a V. Love them all and used the built in ND filter all the time. Here’s something I’ve discovered but heard no one mention: the 3stop ND was perfect.
Shooting in bright afternoon light wide open at ISO 160, I get the red, 2000+ SS warning, but when I turn on the 4stop ND the SS drops to between 160 and 250.
That’s much too slow and NOT a versatile range. Have that at only f2.8. As I said, at 3stops this would have been a SS around 360-500. Does anyone else wonder why Fuji upped the ND filter to 4stops? Every talks like this is an improvement. What am l missing?
X-T30 II obviously
ОтветитьIt's shit to make everyone pay for the different grips on the XE4 when previous cameras were better equipped ...
ОтветитьIt's possible to simulate a halation effect using a diffusion filter, and a black pro mist filter can achieve this effect as well, while also providing a softening effect in both the highlights and darks. In my opinion, the black pro mist filter is an essential addition to the X lineup.
ОтветитьThank you! Sick of hearing people say that the phone is just as good… No, it is not! They’re getting better absolute, but nothing beats a real camera. LOVE my XE4!!!
ОтветитьI've gotten an x100f but I just never get around to using it, with a preference to pick up the a7iii and 35mm loxia combo. I suspect it's because I don't like the 23mm lens when taking portraits at the same range as my Sony. Ppl just look more distorted. The images from the loxia just pop more generally.
However, I really like the x100f colours and the reduced weight, profile and reduced intimidation factor that it has on others when I am taking photos of them.
Or you can just buy an XT30 and put the 27mm pancake lens on there and have an X100V, kinda. lol.
ОтветитьOptical viewfinder and the leaf shutter makes a huge difference but only for skilled people. X100V shouldn’t be compared with the rest…
ОтветитьI missed the part about why these cameras should be avoided in 2023; did I correctly hear that in the intro to the video? Could someone explain this to me, given I did not pick it up in the video? Anyhow, I opted to sell the X100F for a decent resale price on a system that is relatively old --all the hype surrounding the X100 series helped, for sure. I use mine with a Fujinon 16 mm f/2.8 for street and documentary, and it does not disappoint. I am thinking of pairing it with manual Voigtlander lenses. Autofocus is not important since I zone focus a lot these days.
ОтветитьWhat recipe were you using on the F?
ОтветитьThe V is still good, no doubt
And it will be
I believe that even 10 yrs later people will talking about it
Great video!!
Ответить"which is best for you?" - the one in stock!!
ОтветитьLove the style of fuji but also looking for more video features for yt
ОтветитьYou can get the extra stops by choosing the closest shutter speed you want via the top dials, then using the scroll wheels to get to the ones in between 😉👍🏼
ОтветитьDude, this is some amazing editing and directing.
ОтветитьYou get the quarter stops through the dials
ОтветитьFELLOW GERARD,
I GREATLY ENJOYED THIS!
♥️ A FELLOW GERARD
Just over 2K subs already - nice work. There’s a way of converting a lut to a Lightroom Profile using LR and Photoshop. (Google the method.) The big idea here is to apply a Fuji film simulation (i.e., camera profile) to a non-Fuji raw file, by starting with a Fuji film simulation Lut. Tried it once for a Sony raw file and got so-so results. Ever try it yourself? Might be worth a try and make a unique YT vid.
Ответитьloved this one brah! nice shots
ОтветитьGreat video Gerard! The X100V is maybe my favourite camera of all time. Loving your work with the Fujis!
