It's crazy how trump was so awful, the absolute worst, it made Bush seem extremely great.
If this were trump, guaranteed he'd have secret service run him out of there in a panic straight to a bunker. He ran from peaceful protesters, imagine this?

This is one of the eeriest and most poignant moments from that day. And you see in Bush’s face his shock not just as a president, but as a citizen - a human being just taking it all in.

He was harshly criticized, including by Michael Moore, for not leaving right away. It makes no sense. He wanted to show a calm presence.

Anyone who thinks Bush and or America did these attacks to start a false war in Iraq needs their head examined because you are mentally ill if you think that. Of all the conspiracy theories this one is believed by a bunch of fools who aren't smart enough to figure out that Bush had nothing to do with it. Geez you people are really making Americans look like a nation full of dummies I'm glad I don't need to see any of you people in real life though I'm sure most of you will be in the looney bin at some point in your life if you believe that garbage.

Never trust presidents or politicians in general.

The US constantly interferes in other country wars or problems. Then they act shocked when these countries are striking back. The US killed a lot of innocent people before and after 9/11.

11. September was terrible, but you can thank your presidents and politicians for that.

It would be too horrible to think that our government had anything to do with 9/11. I know there is corruption at every level but this is just too horrendous to think about. It's not like there is anything that the normal citizen could do anyway. We just have to believe that they were just as shocked as everyone else.

I was 17 and at my first job early in the morning on the west coast. The news slowly started coming in and we started to realize it wasn't accidents but an attack. We were told to go home. So I went home and froze on my couch the rest of the day unable to stop watching. Such a surreal moment. I never thought much of Bush as a president but his demeanor and how he responded in that situation took a lot of strength.

What was he supposed to do, I think it was admirable of him to sit with those kids and not rush off. After all, how many kids have an audience with the president of the United States. I always felt people underestimated George W, he was always respectful to the media no matter how difficult it was for him. It was an absolutely horrendous and horrific day in American history.

I will always remember my cousins words (British Army) as the realisation set in, he just very calmly spoke whilst staring at the screen, "someone just attacked our friends. This will not do."
So calm, so stoic, he didn't even budge, he spoke for us all. An attack on America is an attack on Britain to many of us 🇬🇧🇺🇲

That still did not justify the Iraq War with the "weapons of mass destruction" that never were found because they did not exist. If Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, America would not have went there in the first place. A Million dead Iraqis, the entire region destabilized.
