Thanks for the awesome video :) I've followed your video and tried to submit my return, an error message is showing. It says Submitting and under it in small writing "A problem occurred when you sent your return". It's been an hour but I'm still not able to check if I've missed anything and resubmit. I think I didn't click tick on the last optional section where it says has coronavirus calculations been added. Your help will be really appreciated. I have no idea how to resolve this :(

May I please enquire about where to add honoraria? I am employed, but also have a small freelance business - through that, I only earned £500 this year. However, I also receive a monthly honorarium from a US company, that originates in USD but is paid to me in Sterling. Should this be declared as foreign income? Should I include it with my freelance income, or declare it in a separate section? Many thanks for any advice.

I like this video a lot but this is my second year paying tax in uk and your video clarify almost everything a part from one which makes me ask other 3 questions: Why the HMRC doesn’t mention the money we(I) paid ahead? They only show what we owe for the current tax year but does it show up after submit the form? Can I trust them and submit the form and they will deduct the money I paid ahead? Thank you very much for this video!

I've been fortunate to incorporate the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) into my retirement strategy, and it has been a game-changer for securing my financial future. Diversifying your investments, including CPP, is key to building wealth over time. Big ups to everyone working hard trying to earn a living while building wealth. I’m 63 and my husband 65 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income

Great video!

I was just wondering if I sell on Etsy and Shopify to international customers outside of the UK does this mean I need to fill in the section about if you received any foreign income, do you need to complete the foreign section? Would I click yes or no to this?

any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks a lot! Reading it right now. I'm a Canadian just moved to the UK, there's so many differences between Canada (Quebec) taxes and UK taxes!

Thank you so much for this video. Very reassuring to listen to someone go through everything, checking my own work at the same time.

Excellent video. Can you please explain if a NON DOM Irish Tax resident/ordinary Tax Resident, (self Emploued), in ireland filling up FORM 11 has to declare his over seas Rental income? Yes or No? In case he has to declare his over seas rental income, does the individual get taxed on his overseas Residental income, if he has not brought over, or spent any on foreign credit card?

May I ask a question? I have a job and also work as a freelancer. In a self-assessment, I earned £1100. If the self-assessment earning is less than £1000, there's no need for a tax return. However, if I earned £1100, should I use the full £1100 for the self-assessment tax return, or should I deduct the £1000 threshold? If I use £1100, considering my job's salary in addition, I would need to pay more than £100 in taxes. Does this mean that in reality, I can only keep less than £1000? Would it be better to charge £1000 for the freelancer service? Am I understanding this correctly?

Where do you put contractors in on your self assessment? Mine was sent in wrong and I never declared 2 workers. I'm trying to find where you put the money deduction from the payees. I've spoke to numerous accountants and they say it's two boxes to fill in and I can't find the boxes
