Is Vaping Really That Bad for You?

Good video...I smoked for 37 yrs and tried everything to quit. I had assumed I would never be a non-smoker and then found vaping. The first thing I noticed was my smokers cough was gone, and continued health improvements. That now 4+ years without a cigarette.

The problem with e cigs, this is from a smoker here and at least my experience, is you smoke it all day long, just taking it out of your pocket and puffing it constantly. It hurt my wallet more than anything, those things cost me almost 20 dollars for two capsule refills which would last me MAYBE a day or two. I spent about 700 a month on those damn things. I started the patch recently and it's helped. The biggest thing people do wrong with the patch, is think it's a replacement again for smoking. I think people need to remember the patch is just quitting cold turkey, with a little help with withdrawal symptoms. Thats it, you'll still want to smoke, it doesn't help you with cravings or anything, just think of it as cold turkey with less symptoms of withdrawal. Man what a habit eh! It's tough to even enjoy things like you did while smoking, it's a hell of an addiction

Ok to put this in simple terms:
If a cigarette kills you at a rate of 10 (don’t take the number for anything, this is just to make the gap understandable)
Then a vape would kill you at maybe a rate of 2

Actually vaping and drinking and smoking makes your lungs stronger also drinking 30 drinks if achool it’s gonna make you stronger

It's a fact. 95% less damage. Safer way to quit smoking. I've been smoking for 15 years and switch to vaping for 3 years. I quit vaping since 2022. Now air is only thing I inhale😊

Nice had to stop , it made my heart hurt my body hurt and my legs and stomach every time I smoked my stomach would burn , and it’d be hard to talk after a few years
I’m 19 and I was smoking cigarettes and vapes at 16, quit cigarettes at 17 to vape and wasted 100s of dollars on vapes and it ruins your body and hurts you on the inside even if you don’t recognize it
Chose to quit rn after this mad shit it gave me, plus it causes me stomach aches and I just look way unhealthier compared to when I was 16/17 a younger man

I am studying my grad diploma in lifestyle medicine and i have one subject left that I need to wait till second semester next year to finish. It is the last one and on cigarette addiction. I appreciate your honesty here and look forward to learning more about vaping.

Vaping is getting banned in countries like india where cigarettes are completely legal. I guess, the tobacco industry doesnt want vaping to become popular among smokers.

Man's a freaking legend just pulling out an e cig

I've never had issues with my teeth, ever. other than my wisdom teeth at 18 and 2 cavities, I've never had issues.
I started using these Elf Bars about 1 year and a half ago, and now I've got a crapload of issues with teeth. Weakened enamel and having now, as of 2 days ago, 2 different teeth just crack in half when eating something. I used a little dental mirror to look at it and with that light shining in on them from their backside, I saw that the tips of one of my Canines, and 2 of the tips of the one behind it are like, I dunno, screwed?
I've always brushed my teeth twice per day, everyday, as well as floss and peroxide/water. But the fact that you smoke these vape devices about 10x or more than you would a normal cigarette, it's murder on your teeth and gums. I am right now on day 3 of quitting smoking all the way, it friggin sucks, but actually being able to see with my own eyes the effects of what smoking has done to me, I finally have the incentive to stop.
I hope someone else is able to get something out of this old mans little testimonial. Don't smoke. Whether it be physical or social, there are zero benefits to smoking a vape device or cigarettes.

Hey Doc, just wanted to throw in there, I wish I never started smoking, but Vapes/E-Cigs have made it so much easier for me to quit. I've been smoking 15+ years or so and I'm definitely ready to give them up. I just wish that there wasn't so MUCH negativity surrounding the Vapes. I know kids are getting their hands on it somehow, but that's not my issue personally, cause even decades before E-Cigarettes, kids were smoking regular cigarettes, so. IDK, I'm glad Vapes exist. It is a blessing to have them to finally give Big Tobacco the middle finger on their products.

Well doctor you made no mention of the effects of long term vaping. I have a friend who quit smoking after 20 years two packs a day he’s been vaping for over 5 years he’s non stop vaping. Don’t tell me this is OK.

Well the problem with vaping is that you do it constantly, usually smoking a cigarette is more like a ritual thing where you go outside and maybe take a cup of coffee with you, while vaping is very casual, and you can overdo it, which will bring the damage close to or more than a cigarette

In vaping you can choose the concentration and the watts power. By that you can slowly lower the consumption of nicotine to the point of not needing it anymore.
