The government has always been corrupt at some level. The problem, IMHO, is the American people. If the government is not working or is corrupt, it is up to us to make it work. It is a slow process, of course and requires Americans to educate themselves about the politicians in power and what they are doing and not doing. Writing their Senators and Congressmen. Getting involved. The country is divided. China is undermining everything and poised to take over. We are in deep $h!t and we have ignorant young people who don't if they are a boy or a girl and want others to address them "correctly", which just doesn't matter at this point. People are protesting things they do not understand and turning the nation on its heels.
