While this is probably a good video for many people, somehow your video showed up under how to do a hard reset. Obviously this is not a hard reset video. It’s a soft reset. Do you plan on doing a hard reset video? Is there such thing on the surface. All I’ve seen is what you’ve shown, which is how to press the key is to get a reset. But people who are experiencing the momentary windows logo and going back to a black screen need some thing a little more hardware. A hard reset.

This method didn't work for me at first because my computer kept booting to a blank desktop. Ctrl+alt+delete to bring up the task manager option but instead use the videos method. That worked for me.

Thank you. I tried to contact Microsoft to get some support. I just purchased a 7pro for my mother in law, After a few weeks of use, she got a virus, I try to reset to factory a few times and still have the dam virus. Hopefully your video will help me with the virus issue. Thank you again

Try this on my surface pro 1 and its work. Now I'm reset the PC since the screen keep blinking of green color and window start button didn't function. Hopefully it get well after the factory reset. Btw I'm choosing of keeping my PC option

I have trouble getting it to stay on after I restart it . It let's me choose the option to troubleshoot but my computer shuts down and brings me back to the home page. Any help ?

After I press reset PC, it says insert your windows installation or recovery media to continue?

Is that last option, “Remove everything”, for if you set it up, but now want to return it?

I don't have a keyboard for my surface 8 pro so I did the onscreen key option. The issue with mine is that the system is not allowing my tab to reset using both reset options. It starts but always give a fail message. I have windows installation pen drive to reinstall windows but the tab isn't recognizing it as well, this is really frustrating at this point. Kindly provide some ideas if possible, thanks!
