How To Port Forward a Minecraft Server

how is it possible using spectrum because it just leads me to the spectrum app? also what do i do if there are possible firewall setups on pc how would i turn that off

Every time I enter my IP in my browser it says check your firewall and stuff

i tried port forwarding but my router's website asks for "local IP" when creating a new rule. But it says "Invalid IP address" when i put in my local IP. Can anyone help?
Just for context im using a Sagemcom router model D6.

My house apparently has connections from two different router brands, and my server only works with the bad one. I have port forwarded correctly for both websites and I do not know what the problem is.(Java works too)

On my router there is firewall that is set to only Lan to Wan. Wan to Lan is forbidden, could that cause an issue?

I’ve got a quick question. I have an orbi WiFi extender that I have plugged into my pc via Ethernet. My orbi is acting as an extender for my main wifi and I have already set up port forwarding for the orbi but when setting up port forwarding on my main router I’m not sure what up address I should use. The one tht the orbi is using or the one my server is on.

Hey man, I have been wanting to start a minecraft server for years, and finnally got Java edition. The only thing is, I can't figure out how to port forward using my router. I have a Telus rourter that is tall and white and looks like a mini stand up AC unit. If anyone can help me, this would be great. I have been trying to find something for 5 hours!

I can't access my router's configuration GUI. Is it possible to somehow port forward it with the PuTTY or other apps dedicated for network management? I came across the SSH tunneling, but it didn't work or I didn't know how to port forward it properly for MC server.

i followed all the steps in the video, i was able to find my login and port forwarding ( im pretty sure i set it up correctly), although whenever my friend tries to connect to server he gets the error (connection timed out no further information) please help also i have asus router

When launching my server, it crashes and says that it could not bind to port 25566. I port forwarded perfectly and there are no other services using port 25565. Any ideas?

I've followed your Minecraft installing mods video and I've done everything at this point. I think its a problem with Forge, but I keep on getting a Error code 1 every time I try to play. No mods are installed, since I didn't even get that far. Have any suggestions?
