It would be so much fun if I wasn't a deprived trait player 😢
ОтветитьI always max out my Tailoring! I remember it saving me when I raided Muldraugh. 3 zombies started biting my back, but I was able to wiggle out of em. Didn't take any damage, but took 3 leather strips off of my clothes which is buzzin!
ОтветитьLmao most of the time my « survivor » last a few days so when you say it may take a while I am like …. Yeaaaaah…naaaaaahhhh 🤣🤣😊
ОтветитьWith the discomfort addition of build 42 the patching up clothes to make them stronger will be even more of a benefit as now you can't go around 24/7 wearing a shit ton of layers of Kevlar vests and leather jackets and firefighter pants
ОтветитьLongJohns are OP as hell using tailoring. +25~ bite protection per leather patch, and they cover evrything but the neck, head, hands and feet.
And, it's worn under all other clothing, so you don't see it, and it also has somewhat low insulation so you won't overheat.
DO NOT wait to lvl 2 to start tailoring, because the tailoring level also controls how much thread you can recover, and it's thread what is hard to get, not the ripped sheets. Tailor as a soon as you can if you have any thread available get the levels up as soon as possible to improve the gathering of thread.
Ответить😂
ОтветитьFOR B42, you need to go into Sandbox and enable "Gain XP and get thread".
ОтветитьTailoring leveling takes fucking forever
ОтветитьSpends weeks leveling tailoring and wears everything he can, full patched.
Proceeds to be bitten in a hand.
You forgot to include, you don't get XP by ripping clothes, you get XP by getting thread after ripping the clothes.
That's why leveling up is hard at start by ripping clothes because getting thread increases with every tailoring skill you have.
I just play sandbox & start with riotgear, double holster, military backpack, & 2 fanny packs because IRL who WOULDN'T have that laying around & since going to the police station IRL would give you one easily & this game it's RNG I just assume I went there the day before the game started & now I'm playing day 2.
ОтветитьYou can achieve even more than this by the way but you may have to remove leg and feet protection in the background to counteract overheating.
You need to use
desert camo jacket,
apron,
long sleeve tshirt,
hawai shirt,
denim shirt/jockey silks/medical scrubs,
longjohn,
leather gloves,
diamond pattern sweater,
short skirt,
riding helmet,
blue scarf
These can all be worn at the same time and they provide %10 bite protection with leather strips on level 10 tailoring for each layer additional to their native protection levels, you will look like a clown and if you can tolerate overheating you can mix other items as well but this is my preferred build for summer.
I'd heard the tip about ripping up zombie clothing to level tailoring, but they forgot to mention you needed scissors for it to count. Thanks!
ОтветитьI used to believe in the power of tailoring and the defensive clothes.. then i realized one day that the more clothes i use the slower i move and the more chances there are for me to die.. and also the less pretty your character looks... if tailoring was having more cool looking defenses i would used it again but for me its about looking your character and enjoying how it looks.. so i invest on thick skin which has more chances to save you than a full patched up suit all over you.. i had zombies bite me on my last playthrough 5 times and it was a scratch everytime.. and i never got infected.. (dont get me wrong everything this video says its true and tailoring saved me before many times but it just doesnt look cool on your clothes) i hope this commment will help someone out there and encourage them to try the thick skin trait from character creation instead of tailoring
ОтветитьWhy did you sound exactly like mumbo jumbo in the intro to this ?
Ответитьi'll just note, i'll die before i drop my bunnygirl fit.
ОтветитьI've been playing the game off and on for almost 5 years now, and never knew about this. I love the 90s rpg approach of never tell the player what they could do. It adds so much depth to the game.
ОтветитьNeed a mod to tear everything in proximity in one click.
You can open the crafting window and filter by 'rip' which makes it easier, but it's still a hassle.
Okay, how the heck did you get your neck protection to 30/70. I use scarfs in mint condition padded with leather (max tailoring skill) and I still only get 17/44. Are you wearing more than one scarf?.
Ответитьyour voice is annoying
ОтветитьDon't level it is so boring
ОтветитьYou should only tear up clothing you absolutely need to get the next level. That's because you get more thread the higher your tailoring level is.
ОтветитьSo I guess now the question is better survivability, or fashion? I don't know man, I don't know...
ОтветитьBut if it doesn't make bite resistance 100 then it's useless as getting bitten is still potential death, meaning you're best just avoiding getting hit entirely and ignoring all armor
ОтветитьIf a zombie bites me in the groin please just end me
ОтветитьI love this game but I just simply do not have the time to play it to the fullest enjoyment.
Ответитьliterally pointless, just don't get hit.
Ответить"It's going to take a while"
He mean eternity.
got into a situation where i had to fight near my base while sleepy and exhausted
got grabbed about 3 to 4 times and got stunlocked but left scratchless because of vest + leather patched armor
half my clothing was broken
From zombie dont rip the clothes, make it rope sheet, sheet, then rip sheet, it will gives u 3 extra strip clothes
Ответить*then gets bit in the groin
ОтветитьCan you add patches on firefighter outfits?
Ответитьmy problem with these kinds of protection is the amount of heat/sweat it does
ОтветитьJust need a needle
ОтветитьOverlooked? Its one of the most essential skills in the game. The amount of armor it adds might save your run.
ОтветитьI hate the way clothes look after. Especially if you have britas armor or the stalker mod on.
ОтветитьThe sad part is that you can still be bitten even if you have 4 or 5 renforced clothes on.
ОтветитьImagine having all that protection and end up just getting bit in the head anyway
ОтветитьI rip clothing but im not getting ANY XP DROP! Does anyone know why? It happens modded and vanilla...
ОтветитьBut you weigh more? And get slowed down? Which means more easily caught & bitten?
ОтветитьI would say to avoid patching your pants if you are in hotter weather because I've yet to ever see somebody get bitten on the leg.
ОтветитьThick hides save lives. Sew for the goal, my friends!
ОтветитьHey buddy I need a suggestion for the best mods for spawn in a very safe base because I always hate when I get out there's a lot of zombie attacking me and yes I'm newbie
Ответитьi personally just wear whatever is stylish and play with no infection. i think that infection paradoxically makes the game less difficult, because when you’ve been infected you can just hang up the towel and give up on the character. having no infection means that you could be injured more but still have a chance of living through it if you struggle through, and of course because the 100% fatal infection isnt a thing you could get injured again and have to struggle all over again.
ОтветитьI made enough ripped sheets to reach the moon and back. I think i finally have enough thread guys
ОтветитьIt still won't save you from that sneaky bite from behind. I tell that from personal experience.
ОтветитьI love tailoring, but I'm anal. I hate having holes in my favorite in my outfits.
Ответить"IM FUCKIN' INVINCIBLE!"
-my character after putting 69420 pieces on fabric on every piece of cloth he is wearing
Tayloring patches are a life saver but the con of it is your character tends to sweat a lot in combat.
