Wow,, lots of praise... I didn't like it. On scale of 1-10,,, Platoon was a 10. Full Metal Jacket was in my top 10 movies of all time. This? I rate a 3.5... Sorry

Some ducks and chicken got injured if not died in this movie. And did anyone notice midway through the movie, at a village a boar in the centre of the screen had to lift its hind leg to pee while in the foreground somebody was shooting and aiming at the huts in the background....what a movie, so many hidden gems

I grew up during the Vietnam War, saw the numbers every night on the news when I got home from school. My father and I always argued about the war. He said it was necessary and I said it was a slaughter of our boys. Then they were treated like criminals when they came home. Friends that came home were changed for ever and not for the better 😢. So many were embarrassed that they were and are still. I will always shake the hand of all our vets for their service to our country! Very good movie of the men who were forced into a war we should of never gotten into

Nếu gặp Việt Cộng làm gì còn cơ hội sống.
Chỉ cần gặp tân binh thôi không trượt phát nào luôn, làm gì có cầm AK bắn lung tung như phim này.

America was never a match against Vietnamese. Inferior rifle caliber, no match in warfare technique. Helicopters and aircraft didn't help. Yet you want to fight china, Russia and Iran at the same time, funny how arrogance will destroy you men off service. Up to the people of America to stop the foolishness off your dichtators

Michael Dudikoff had the goods, but he lacked the charisma of a Vandamme, and other period action stars had.

Wonder why there's never been a movie about what those soldiers did to those innocent men, women and children in ( My Lai) and nothing was done at the Pentagon to answer for it!
My cousin worked at the Pentagon from '62-96 with a class (5) security
McNamara knew what happened and did absolutely nothing to bring those Soldiers to justice!!!

A lot more realistic than John Wayne holding off a battalion with his .45 and never reloading a friend of mine was a Green Beret and a Captain first time I met him we were working in a restaurant as waiters I’m guessing Irv was early 30’s I was 19 we had a changing room and we were getting changed into our waiter uniforms I counted three bullet holes and multiple scars on that man he had 24 pack abs didn’t see him for many years and went to visit my brother in Ohio he and his wife were having an addition and garage built and guess who the carpenter was he had started his own company and was quite successful I see him from time to time when I go to Cleveland

Strange the vegetation in this movie obviously is nowhere near South Vietnam, which is tropical ! Somebody forgot the palm trees & all the nasty bugs and mosquitoes, so it looks more like a wood in Cape Cod !

Obviously the lack of respect given to some of the junior officers in the Vietnam war stemmed from the fact that they were completely green and could try to think they were going to carry on as they had in training, but not so, far too many of them died because they thought they knew better than the senior non commissioned officers, the backbone of any unit and has been proven time and time again that junior officers have to be babysat by the SNCOs, until they can stop crawling and stand up and walk, so why did the United States military send them straight to the front lines?, surely they should have been sent to units with an abundance of experience so they could gain a little more understanding of the situation before being sent to the front where they still knew cak all but at least new how NOT to get everyone killed.
