Yeah, still rocking the baseball base.....
Just put a huge square of clay foundation in top, It was off the ground, there's a field lab right next to it, reasonably centered, good resources, any attacks by bug factions are ineffective by land.
After the early game, I extended spiral staircase upwards to a multi zipline platform station about as high as the shrink ray tripods. I have lines stretching to high points throughout the yard, which take me (and building materials) down to more relevant local areas near the higher zipline hub.
I now have a farm base on the middle stones slightly away from the BBQ where the stone paths meet and one south of Moldorc playset close to widow ( meh I like turret fighting with the Skeeters) for bird bath/hedge access etc.
Base ball Base is still my home plate.😅
I personally built it on the house porch, not the shed one. and I just made zip lines to everywhere and you were right about the time it takes :D
Ответитьi picked the worst spot by acccidently basing next to the secret larva cave and eventually they just took my base over the only wasy to kill the tens of then was to bring over a stink bug but they would eventually just respawn think of it like basing on top of the ant hive but replace them with larva
ОтветитьI just started today how does one aquire the ability to make floors. I have walls and scaffold but no floors
ОтветитьI made a bridge to the pagoda and have built a nice stem base inside of it. I immediately thought of building there when i first discovered it
ОтветитьI had a lotta success with the hedge by instead of walking places i used the nearby porch as a transportation hub for ziplines. The porch is high enough and flat enough that it makes a great spot to set up ziplines.
ОтветитьDay 70 : still in the footprint, having a tower higher than the picknick table so I can zip line across the whole garden :)
ОтветитьMake a tiny grass hut with basic crafting benches around the survey station by the machine at the start and move once you can kill everything with ease. You’ll be doing so much research at the vary start it’ll save you so much time. That’s what I did then moved to the massive flat rock to the left of the fence.
ОтветитьI live on the pond and all you have to do is not piss off any mosquitoes
ОтветитьThey need servers with 30 person capacity...it would be so fun raiding bases and pvp
ОтветитьI live in the berry bush
This game's map wasn't made for base building. I've played countless hours in The Forest, Subnautica and Green Hell and in none of these did i have a problem as to where to set up my base, as i did in Grounded. When you want a large and flat area as i do, the only choice you have, is to climb on the porch. Aaaand that's it. That the only place in the game as i want it. Because i want a very large base. Where i want to build all the stuffed bugs inside, and you know that they are many, big and require a huge space. So, i buit my first base in the Koi Pond, because i thought, it's the perfect place, where no predators can reach you and it's a huge flat surface. Guess what. Broken! After a while, all the things i had in my base, were either floating in the air, or sank into the foundations. A very annoying bug, which i didn't know existed, but it was already too late. I had build a whole base. After some hours of playthrough, i was so fed up with bringing everything back into their original position, that i decided i would move my base elsewhere. So i chose a place in the yard, a little south to the Oak tree. It had a very small flat area, not enough for what i wanted to build unfortunately, barely enough for a small building, but it was my only choice. So i cleared a huge amount of grass, built a base, moved EVERYTHING from the pond base to the new one, which took hours, i was happy to see that my stuff didn't sink into the ground again, BUT, red ants and larvae keep appearing in my base all the time, even though i have a palisade around it. After this, i quit. I'm like you got to be kidding me. This shit of a game, doesn't want you to have a base, plain and simple. Simple idea: You have a damn shovel. You SHOULD be able to flatten the terrain to build a base! End of story. Simple mechanic, that sould be in all base building games. And the second one, make the area surrounded by palisade, delete ANY bug spawn points it has inside it. What good is it if i build a base, and the spawn points, which i didn't know were there, still keep existing, spawning bugs all the time?
ОтветитьThe hedge and the island would be a horrible place . The mosquitos even without a raid 3 come at a time often enough and the haze has too few resources to make it worth it.
Ответить1 tip for for turrets. Build them on clover roof ramps. That way you can aim towards the ground and still be able to cover the sky!
ОтветитьMy friend had a house near Rash, basically, it’s on a little island in the flooded zone. It’s a good spot and only flying insects bother him
ОтветитьI built my principal base inside the oak tree, now a infected Wolf spider live with me💀
ОтветитьThere is a new location I found, it is between the baseball bat and the chair.
If you go up the baseball bat to the uppermost point where the baseball bat touches the chair, there will be an option to build and yes it is the only spot in that area that allows you to build the blueprint (it's supported).
The only downside is that because it's the only supported structure, all other building pieces will rely on it. So you will need to protect that one piece as much as possible otherwise the whole thing will come crumbing down.
I can't build on the fence because it is unsupported
ОтветитьMy main base is next to the mysterious machine
