I personally started using LMMS, after about 9 months I switched to FL but the same thing that you say in the video happens to me , I don't find it practical or that lets my creativity flow.
So, I'm saving up to buy the Logic
sup guys, i wanna be prod and makin some yeat/drake/carti beats, i found Amped Studio, it s pretty good i think, if someone can give me some advices how to makin music or tell me about this daw, i apr u so much.
ОтветитьHi, very good video! Simple and complete. Are you French?
ОтветитьUsed to think FL Studio was the best thing ever...until I met Ableton Live. I also like Logic Pro, but Ableton is where I feel comfortable. It's amazing.
Ответитьi used many DAWs at least major ones here is my review or my conclusion. Ableton Live fast workflow very easy a game changer for time stretching and live performance. Pro Tools great DAW for recording mixing not good for production or build the entire track on it, yes you can it's not made for that. Reason fantastic DAW but when i was using reason it wasn't support 3rd party plugins and i found switching between windows RACK MIXER SEQUENCER very difficult to deal with. Logic is very well known as second DAW to Pro Tools in major studios for a decade due to it's great stock sounds and plugins but opposite Pro Tools working with audio in Logic is a nightmare. FL Studio, Studio One, are great i just tried for a weeks or months so i don't know a lot about them even if i think Studio One is much like Logic if don't have a Mac computer is a mix of Pro Tools Logic and Cubase. Cubase i never tried it
ОтветитьI started with Ableton. To me the user interface was rather blah and uninspiring. The live music thing is cool but not something I do so I tried out Studio One. Initially like most I had some issues with intermittent crashing. Updated my memory to 128GB from 32GB and all has since gone away. I like Studio One .
ОтветитьStudio One is like Logic Pro and Pro Tools having a baby. Love that daw (along with Logic which I use mostly for composition)
ОтветитьReaper digital audio workstation is heaven on earth especially when you customize it to your liking straight 🔥🔥🔉
ОтветитьAll I was using was ProTools at first. I am a songwriter and music producer (getting into live performances later). I didn't always understand why the beat and synth effects sounded so weak, but that's because PT is for afterwards mixing, not for songwriting! Guess I'm on to FL for writing and PT for mixing and producing ;) thanks!
ОтветитьThe direct competitor of logic pro is Ableton? I want to try start learning a daw. But i don't have a mac so i need a good one on Windows, with realiatic vst.
Can you help me please? Sorry for my english 😅
Hello 👋
First of all, I want to say thank you for this video ❤.
And I am still struggling with DAW because I’m new in this industry but I had wrote a song like 60 songs .
And i really like GarageBand and I’m still using for my demo but I am still looking for DAW for my window and my first DAW is Fl studio but I don’t like it and I felt the same you did now and I need A DAW like a GarageBand for my window and I don’t find yet.
But i can’t get Logic Pro on my window.
Maybe you might help me choosing and struggling from .
And thank you for a video again❤️
I used FL in the beginning but then switched to Ableton till this day. FL feels like I'm always closing popups and the automation is so tedious and annoying to do. Ableton has a minimalistic design, but the plugin workflow is so much smoother and you are able to see so much stuff at once. I feel like Ableton has the most intuitive design, everything that you see and figure out how to use just makes so much sense. I'm pretty sure Ableton has more features and functionality as a whole than other daws, could be wrong. I have Logic Pro X and I feel like it is so similar to Ableton however it is way less intuitive to use.
ОтветитьYour videos are so well professionally produced And so easy to follow , i dont know how u remember what to say but u are talented at it 🫶🏻
ОтветитьFirst I try a daw it's fl studio, but I'm comfortable with it at the first time
ОтветитьI started with FL Studio switched to Cubase and switched finaly to Ableton Live. All of them are DAW´s and can produce some sound.
ОтветитьNever was able to use Fl studio even though I’m trying to learn it again for beats since ProTools is hard to figure out for beats, I switched to cakewalk by BandLab, LMMS, soundbridge, even audacity, but pro tools was definitely the one that leveled up my Engineering big time the workflow plus the amount of in depth tutorials helped a lot same reason why I’m now trying to get into Fl studio but simply for beat production and hopefully I use what I learn back into pro tools lol
Ответитьfor me, fl studio is the best option and its easy to use
ОтветитьCant agree to the budget option point - FL Studio gives you Updates / Upgrades / New Plugins for free and forever. That's why 99 for the Producer Edition or the 269€ Edition is totally worth it. As i said in another comment i work with FL Studio since 2002 and never paid again for it. (The good old Fruity loops!) When you use so much third party stuff i wouldnt recommend buy the signature bundle in FL, but when you fine with stock plugins only buy it. Otherwise the producer edition is the way to go + third party plugins.
After all the years i will try ableton 11 again because i do mostly techno and for electronic music its the best daw... no discussion here.
When you are a beatmaker try FL Studio.
If logic would be available on windows i would switch to this because my workflow is ruined by FL (haha) and ableton is for me to complicated.
Why is there no windows Logic Pro Version - i would instantly switch but i hate apple stuff...
I work with FL Studio since 2002 and this is why i would switch to another DAW:
1.) Automation - When you have huge Projects and many many many Automations the whole project gets messy. You have to create good template to really organize your stuff (Groups, Mixer, Busses etc.) for a good workflow.
2.) Arrangement - When you have groups in your Arrangement Tab it is not possible to drag and drop audio in one of the groups. Even when you not using the instrument that belongs to the group its not possible. It destroys my workflow when i have to create a template and still cant drag something in. i dont know how to explain it but this is annoying to me.
3.) Plugins - The stock Plugins are okay but i hate it when you have so much Plugins open. The all overlap it gets messy. In Ableton is this sooo clean. I dont how it is in Logic.
4.) Mixer Routing - Sometimes i feel like an electrician where i have to connect 100 cables here and there to get the best result. (Never pick Reason too as beginner daw ;) )For example i have to route 3-4 FX Channels to create a Kick + Rumble etc. I think other DAWs are better at this.
You know, I’ve been a Logic girl for years but have since tried to switch to Ableton since more people in the industry in the US use it….well, it’s way more confusing and I just stopped making music all together. This is really helpful and encouraging! Thank you! 🙌🏾☀️✨🌙😊
ОтветитьStarted with Reason 1 (actually with Rebirth) and still use it in version R12 now. I use Ableton, but very little, tried Serato Studio and didn't really liked it. As of the last 4 years I've been using NI Maschine( I have an Maschine Studio and a Plus) and use it 100% for music creation, together with a Komplete Kontrol A49. Then I export everything into Reason 12 for tweaking, arranging and mixing!
ОтветитьI started with fl, im kinda using both right now but i mostly use ableton, it's just way easier with a better workflow and ease to start a song
ОтветитьStarted with Reason 😅 May be the most good looking one in terms of instruments/plugins. It was so inspiring but I was struggling because I knew almost nothing about the different devices (synths, drum machines) and concepts. Then I tried Logic Pro and it was quite intuitive, great to record real instruments (first time I was doing that). But I was feeling it was hard to explore different combinations of musical lines. Then I discovered Ableton and its "session view" was a dream came true. Now Logic has something similar I believe.. Ableton didn't look very good to me (too plain) and it looks not very powerful but it actually is, and after a few years of getting used to it, I love how simple and efficient everything is. I never learned another DAW as deeply so I can't compare fairly, but I don't feel limited by Ableton can do now. I also use a hardware controller (APC 40) which allows me not to interact with the computer screen much when composing, which is great.
ОтветитьYou've said it all for real 💝 it's funny how I use Bandlab on a 'really bad' mobile phone to make my beats and they sound really dope.
It's all about the producer and not the DAW, just like you said 💝
I started with FL Studio about 15 years ago and developed my workflows with it. When I tried to use Ableton because I saw many nice features in videos, I struggled a lot and was frustrated that I couldn’t put my ideas fast enough into the DAW.
ОтветитьJust wanted to say I recently found your videos, and they are great! Keep up the great work! 😊🙏🏽
FL Studio has been my DAW for almost 8 years now. I've tried other DAWs out, but their workflows just didn't sit right with me.
In the end, it's all about preference. 😊
I started with FL Studio and for years I struggled with the work flow. I thought it was just something that I wasn't getting and I must not be cut out for this. After trying a bunch of other DAWs I realized that FL simply didn't work for me. I eventually settled on Studio One and have made way more progress in a short amount of time. Since I already had FL I was able to do a crossgrade deal with Studio One and saved a lot. It's interesting how much a DAW can inspire or discourage the creative process.
ОтветитьSame problem with FL. I do like Logic a lot but since I'm on windows I choose Reaper wich is for my needs the best one.
ОтветитьFor Real I Know Her Since She Had 500 Some Subs It Feels Great To See Someone Grow From Nothing To 8k Subs Great Work PLV "D
ОтветитьI started on Studio One and switched to Ableton, much prefer the automation capabilities:)
ОтветитьI switched from FL to Ableton
ОтветитьLike a lot of the producers in the ghetto, I started with LMMS and Mixcraft. I switched to FL studio for producing eventually and I really love it. I still track live instruments with mixcraft though, it’s hard to break away from just because of how well I know it.
ОтветитьI had a similar experience. I just switched from Ableton to Bitwig after almost 15 years and it’s been a game changer.
Ответитьfor me i use Mixcraft.
ОтветитьStudio one is free?
ОтветитьIt was the exact same
For me. I never finished anything in FL and constantly wasn’t creative and was uninspired. Logic was a game changer for me
I've have 3 daws. Mixcraft 9, studio one and reaper and I've went back to reaper because of bugs and crashing in studio one. And just haven't used Mixcraft since my laptop crashed
ОтветитьThat’s why I use multiple DAWs 😂 Live (Ableton) for producing and sound design, Logic for producing and mixing and Pro Tools for mostly for mixing for ads as it lets you import audio data from premiere. Logic lets you too but sometime is glitchy hehe. I need to learn Studio One too and UAD Luna, this way I’m able to help others that uses any of these daws 😎
Ответитьi actually tried almost every daw in free trial version, except for logic since i'm a windows user, and i ended up using ableton for the last 2 years since is the one that i feel mor comfortable with,is clean and actually i find it more easy than something like fl,i hate the pattern feature too :D
ОтветитьBITWIG STUDIO💥🔥✨
ОтветитьI'm still using Ableton 3 years later, and I'm confidentaly saying that im not switching anytime soon
Ответитьi switch 2 daw and now i am stick with studio one
ОтветитьAlways used ableton! Always will!
ОтветитьNwebie here i started wirh garadgeband and heard logicpro was very similar so i took the leap to logic pro and its awesome !!!
Learning super fast!!! Me and my youngest daughter (5) enjoy making music togehter❤
😊👍
ОтветитьThanks for the video queen and i used soundtrap before and now going to get logic pro x.
ОтветитьNot gonna lie, one of the main reason I bought Fl, is so that I don't have to pay for future updates.
Ответить❤
