Beyond Good & Evil 2: 15 Years Of Development Hell

My best friend wanted to play this when we where in school he is dead now an I’m 30 now it looks like I won’t play it ever cuz of the economy collapse 😂 it was to good to be true I guess I’ll be 35 or 40 before it launches

Do you know all this is nice, but if you have to sit there and wait years and years for the stuff to come out, what’s the point there’s so many other games if you could be playing in the technology is there but there’s so much more to play .. so tired of hearing about it, just put it out for god sake

Honestly, they should have just made a story adventure game like what they showed in the trailer 16 years ago. If that were to be successful, try this new idea.

Immortal Phoenix Rising was a totally different kind of Ubisoft game and it was amazing yet people still ignored it. It was the best Zelda type game to date and almost as good and better in some ways than Breath of The Wild. People are just way more apathetic about Triple A games now. Just like the dying movie industry

hearing what they want to accomplish sounds too big to do. Fully explorable planets? Making one takes several years.

Basically, that surprise is a remaster of the original BGE for 2024... Wonderful Mate... It's been like, more than 15 years since the development of Beyond Good and Evil 2. And now they want to throw a remaster of the original BGE? This sounds more like an insulting cash grab to one of my favorite videogames, as well as the beginning of my interest in photography. Like ok, I'm glad that Ubisoft is allowing a new generation to experience this underrated cult classic, but the sequel has been in development hell for so long.🤣.

I was 12 years old when I found out about this game and got so excited, I had a shitty HP 550 laptop, and I thought well by the time it comes out I'll have a decent PC to play it.
I'm turning 25 in february..... atleast I got the PC 💀

Really hope the game comes out good and has what they promised, I don’t think fully detailed planets are too much to ask, if the game sticks to one solar system I don’t think it’s too much to design 6 maybe 7 planets

Last good game ubisoft released was Valhalla but it's just more of the same AC. If they're betting on the Avatar game (Far Cry with a new skin) they'll soon be down another level x'D

My Conspiracy Theory is that they recycled the engine and used new assets to create that new Star Wars Outlaws game they announced instead.
The Motorcycle she uses and even the way she looks is........just, way too obviously similar.

The game is dead and it will never be a Part 2 even when I it's called Part 2.

I want a new BGE game, but I really don't want it to be about chimp pirates and crime empires.
The original was a futuristic fairy tale about the eternal fight of good and evil, hence the name.

A story about gray morals and anti-heroes has absolutely zero magic and allure of the original.
As far as I'm concerned, BGE2 is dead and Ubuysoft just slapped its name on something else.

There is no way the game could be almost done, as the game get outdated each year.

After looking at this gameplay footage a couple years after they originally posted it, it is underwelming now. They take too long to develop it it becomes dated. Plus I think they are biting off more than they can chew.

I do think is is more likely to come out than most Ubisoft games

I'd like to see a remake of BGAE1

Remember when Ubisoft had people who put out creative games with fun ideas & imaginative settings like Rayman 1-3 & BG&E 1?

This might be the first game showed to the public that was cancelled then resumed showed again then cancelled again if the development keeps this way considering how ubsoft is on hard times

the version from 2017 doesnt feel anything like BGE to me, it felt more like a complete reimaginen / reboot of the entire francise than a proper sequel.
also it was just a playable tech demo back then, nothing more.

I thought this game was Long dead, I was hypped back then. But it have ben 15 years since it was announcet. Now im older I will probably never play this game as it probably needs 5-6more years to come out, and if you take to Long to get shit done something Els will take its place. As to much polish is also bad

This is already the biggest embarrassment in Ubisoft history. I can't even imagine it being good enough to justify this long of a delay. And would be glad to be proven wrong but what I'm expecting is a huge and ambitious, but chaotic and buggy mess.

When the game was anounced, i got overhyped. I took 200 dollars, and put them away, to buy my first ever Collectors Edition. Years go by... I spend those 200 dollars about... 7 times so far XD And keep putting away new and new 200 dollars every couple years XDD I gave up about a year ago or so...

Think of it as a combination of games that are not Beyond Good and Evil.
Nah. BGaE was the very first game ever I bought with my own hard earned money. And if the sequel is shit, I will call it shit.
