ОтветитьShould I bring some British currency? We are going to be in bath for 3 days
ОтветитьGreat video ❤
ОтветитьI would say "Each to his own." When I went in 2014, not all stations were with escalators or elevators so I used Heathrow Express (cheaper then) since my accom was near Paddington Station. Can be walked but with luggage, will exert effort but I can't pull/carry due to surgery the previous year (it was an acid-test if I can already resume travelling, thank God I fared well so the following year 2015, I went to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Salzburg, Austria for the Sound of Music Tour, then to Prague, Czechia.) Took a cab with minimal fare from Paddington. My accom. has a bus stop at front & a short walk is a tube station. But I utilized mostly buses using my Oyster card where the unused balance was returned to me upon leaving. Likewise, this Kensington area accom is near main Victoria station when I went to Glasgow, Scotland, my hub to go to the Highlands to see Loch Lomond, Lochness, Glencoe, Urquhart Castle, etc. and jump-off point to Ireland. Even drop by Carlisle for Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle Castle where Mary, Queen of Svots was incarcerated & many Roman structures like the Citadel.
Utilized the ORIGINAL London Hop-on, Hop-Off Tour which was cheaper because I booked early before leaving for UK and comfortable as if I rented a chauffeur-driven transportation & was nice because it's valid for 2 days so 1st day I finished the whole round (there are several routings, depends on your interest), came with FREEBIES like on 2nd day I did hop-off at Tower of London FREE entrance, saw changing of the guards plus different towers with torture chambers, the crown jewels, etc. After finishing, boarded FREE the Thames River Cruise and took photos from the ship's perspective. Another FREE ride aboard Emirates Air Line Cable Car now name changed to IFS Cloud Cable Car and saw all of London from above. I didn't use the Tube because there were no escalators, I was taking csre not to walk much and saw when I left London, refurbishments were just beginning like at the Tottenham Court Road station near my 2nd hotel upon arrival from Glasgow, walking distance to Prince Edward Theater where I watched a stageplay. Dunno if ALL stations are now fitted with escalators and elevators.
amazing video with so much intressting and helpng details thank you so much

ОтветитьWas in London in September 2018 to meet up with friends. They took us to the BEST restaurant we went to in our 2 weeks there, Giuseppe’s Restaurante. It was amazing and owner was great
ОтветитьWhen you are trying to determine how long to stay, you loose 2days just based on traveling in and traveling out..London is a beautiful city but England is more beautiful. To see England (day trips)You have to rent a car. If you do, try to rent at least 2mths in advance with a good cancelation policy. I am renting a car for 10days (next month)for 400$. Last trip it took me 24hrs to adjust and I prefer a manual . You can find great hotel rates outside of London in cities such as Bromley or Bexleyheath which offer free parking. If you have to see Big Ben (again)park on the street in a town like west dulwich, walk to the train station and go anywhere within 30min (no buses). This trip I will be hanging out in Brighton, StoneHenge, Hastings and Cardiff. I will still visit London, but I won’t be seeing Big Ben (again).
ОтветитьNot Paddington express but Elisabeth line is better and has AV
