We Need To Talk About The New Legendary 2 Burst Pulses... (Aisha's Care)

Really really weak imo. Again, it is very fun to use and duels well, but there is no world i use it over some other options.

I have found it gives me the range of a 120, the peak shooting of a 140, and the ease of use of a pulse rifle. That’s where I think it sits in the meta. 😊

Imo kill clip is no use while I can’t kill anyone 😂😂

I love it. Got zen with Hatchling or Desperado. I go full strand with tesellation so I’m using it in everything. Lots of anti flinch on mine with 60+ handling and stability. Love it. 🙂 Nice review.

So basically you're saying it's super fun to use, but it's undeniably mid. A placebo weapon, if you will.
So if I'm hearing correctly the real question about this weapon is how long do you want to be miserable playing Trials in order to get a few rolls.

I got my first ever Adept of this to drop with Encore + Headseeker + Arrowhead and I couldn't be happier. Pound for pound what I wanted to get

It feels way more forgiving than messenger/red death. I really think for the average player it’s going to be more effective even if its ceiling maxes out lower.

Yeah the moment I saw that it was doing like 42 per crit my brain broke. I was like wait so it has a ttk of a 140 hc but shots 2 shots in a burst and it takes 6 total shots so ur telling me u just made a high impact frame that kills slower? I want this gun to be good but yeah if they just upped the forgivness to make it a 4c 2b at base OR if they ever so slightly increased the fire rate so the trk could be say a .8 either one of these changes would make this frame competitive imo. As of right now there just slightly too weak. It almost reminds me of how lightweight frames used to be wayy before the buffs. All they need is a little bump and theyll be great. Till then Ill farm a godroll and wait patiently. 😂😂

I already got 444 kills on the adept. Honestly it’s pretty solid—im aiming for 1k on it soon so I can have a fair opinion on the gun itself.

What's the TTK with Gutshot Headseeker? Still .87? Or does it move to .8? Is it still 5c 1b? Or does it drop to 4c 2b?

You think this has some chaining capabilities with slice on prismatic hunter ? Slice proccing the invis + wallwacks on kill

Got an adept one today with Arrowhead/Ricochet/Under Pressure/Headseeker/Range MW and an Adept Stability mod, but it still feels way worse than stuff like Elsie's

CoolGuy, what I LOVE about your weapon reviews is that you don’t just give an informed opinion, but you also describe WHY a particular weapon, perk, or “roll” does or does not “work”.
I agree, in concert with your narration, that this new pulse archetype, with a 0.87 TTK that’s only reduced to 0.80 with Kill Clip active… it just can’t compete with the standard High-Impact pulse (Messenger, etc.) in PvP.

Based on your report, it sounds like this pulse NEEDS both Arrowhead Break and Desperado to be competitive, and even then, it’s probably just better to run Graviton Lance.

It took me a while to understand the sinusoid function that governs how the horizontal “pull” of the Recoil stat works in Destiny 2, but I DID eventually understand it. Higher numbers are “better”, but with an important caveat: two-digit numbers that end with a “5” (like 65, 75, 85) are inherently better than two-digit numbers that end with a “zero” (like 60, 70, 80, etc.).

Now you’re telling me that certain legendary weapons don’t adhere to this convention, regardless of the numerical Recoil stat number, because those certain guns have a “deterministic” recoil pattern that essentially ignores the regular Recoil stat “rules”?!? WTF?

How is the player supposed to know whether or not a legendary weapon has an over-riding “deterministic” recoil pattern versus the already-obtuse “standard” recoil rules pattern??

Sad I saw a video hyping this up saying it was so good then I grinder for the god roll and then used it and realized it’s garbage

I’d rather see 340s lose a bit of rpm. .67 TTK is a little too fast for any other pulse to compete. 340s are choking the life out of too many mid-long range primaries.

To be fair the whole point of “doing everything perfectly and still not getting that third burst off” applies to almost every weapon archetype when dueling high impact pulses. Having a 0.67 ttk from neutral on an archetype with that much reach i s just a balancing issue on bungies part

Hey CoolGuy. I would love to hear your thoughts on Parabellum. I know it's a world drop so it's a little hard to come by, but I got my hands on a good roll and it feels incredible (Hammerforged, Ext Mag, Heal Clip, Dynamic Sway, Range MW). Just trying to make sure I'm not crazy 😂

My rank up rewards are bugged but this definitely seems like a fun weapon thats suboptimal

people who have a desperado liminal vigil (Spire Two burst sidearm) will sing you the praises of desperado on that thing, and its no surprise that its also great on two burst pulses

I have nearly 3k Revision Zero kills in pvp with the 2 burst mode. Something about how it shoots just clicks with me. I'm hoping that this can be its little brother 👀

4 bursts: too many shots, more time to get flinched
2 bursts: if it's a 3-peak?, It's a 150 Scout with its bullets cut in half
High Impacts on Headseeker: still the only viable 2-peak gun in the game

Cool guy, the Bold Endings is nuts in pvp. You can get the new To The Pain perk and eye of the storm for crazy accuracy, or Pain and moving target for the best feeling hand canon ever.

At the moment, I want it for PvE because it is the only two-burst kinetic slot pulse rifle. I like Revision Zero, but it is hard locked as an Anti-Barrier weapon. This isn't and doesn't use my one exotic weapon slot. I don't need it because it will shred everything with little effort, I want it because I like the two-burst pulse rifles, I like Desperado, and this does both.

This pulse just sort of confuses me. The shooting experience is all over the place. It can feel really solid sometimes, but just as often it feels like I am shooting Nerf darts and that bullets are going into the void.

The real question, though, is why on earth would I use this? I would literally rather use Stay Frosty any day of the week. Certainly an adept Messenger runs circles around this thing, and it's not like this has a super lethal ttk, so I'd even rather throw on a Syncopation for ease of use.

It's in a no man's land where it just doesn't offer a truly compelling argument for using it. There's a better option for basically anything you are trying to do with it.

Disappointing.

The two burst from KC must be a resil thing because I two bursted a hunter last night with it. But I'm glad I am not alone on the roll I want on this thing. I totally agree with you on the high impacts eating you alive on this thing. But most high impacts can't also fight 140s. I tried one with desperado and as someone who loved old desperado messenger this feels like the closest thing to it. So even if it is not the best I want one just for that feeling again
