Is there a reason you ( while there ) wouldn't dig the trench deeper and put in a permanent drain other then cost? Leaving the wet end out of the ground to help and the other end in the deep ditch. Serious question not being a smart as s

The “little dick” works well, being a smaller unit it might not sink in as fast as the 220.
it sure makes short work of all the standing water, you mentioned the running drain
from the sand, could that be used to water the crops planted on the farm? nice
video, you and your dad are very skilled operators!

Does anyone know the approximate cost it would be to drain a swamp area?

I would imagine it's based on square footage or acreage. Thanks

Sorry, not a big fan. America has a love affair with ditches, and then wonders why we flood all the time. Wetlands-swamps are a good thing. Learn about watersheds and you’ll know why. I get it, you’ll disagree.

I have about an acre and a half on my farm that is swampy. we are just starting to clear the bushes and "swamp growth. This has been very helpful in explaining how we can drop the water table and channel it to the ravine.
