:ery well explained sir , because there were so many arguments regatding this and now I am sure that they are ordinal data, thank u sir.

After adding the item dimension wish, in the light of our proposed statistical model which is comprised of predictors and a criterion variable we use the multiple regression techniques (then we have a mean and standard deviation, normality, parametric distribution). It is like converting ordinal data to the interval.

Is it ok? Please throw some light on the same.

Thank you Sir 👍 very simple way of explanation
Sir if for one question the respondent has given more than one response do we consider that as invalid entry and don't analyze or what to do
And how to deal blanks or missing responses in between cells for few questions how to handle it

If it is ordinal data than why people do parametric tests???

Sir how i interpret 5point likert scale there is no options like agree , strongly disagree, neither...
Every question has different options

Thank you ! but i am confused, is 1 to 2=>1 distance, 4 to 5 also 1 and all 1 to 5 has the same interval or distance how it can not be interval? i think ordinal is for likert type individual question and likert scale for a subject prepared many questions that is interval....thank you

Hi. We have the same gist of research. I was wondering if you have any idea how to find the significant difference between 2 likert scale data? My research aims to find out the significant difference between before pandemic consumer behavior and during pandemic consumer behavior. My questionnaire was statements that respondents can rate using the Likert scale.

Thank you for your explanation, I have one question for you: a questionnaire that includes three dimensions and each dimension contains several questions. then we can create a new variable which is the MEAN of all of the individual items for each respondent for each dimension. then the interval is equal to (5-4 / 5 = 0.8) ([1-1.80] Strongly disagree
[1.81-2.60] disagree
[2.61-3.40] neutral
[3.41-4.20] agree
[4.21-5.00] strongly agree)

then we can the parametric tests on these new MEANS (like a liner regression, ANOVA... etc)
what do you think sir?
