ОтветитьI just made this! Delicious. Really good. One note. 45 minutes was too long for my garlic. I turned it to low and it burned at 20. So watch that.
ОтветитьPierce the eggplants with a fork of knife before placing on grill or you will have an explosion. Not so pretty.
ОтветитьWhen we cook meat on the charcoal grill, after the steaks come off I often throw in a couple eggplant from the garden to roast in the residual heat of the grill; lid on. In the morning I remove the cooled eggplant and make my babaganoush. Wonderful smoky flavor with this technique.

This is not baba ganouj. It’s something but not baba ganouj. Nothing worse than going for a scoop of the baba and your taste buds feel like they’ve been robbed. Honestly you should give a new name since you invented it.

Yes please! Going to make this today with the free eggplant I acquired! Even better when it’s free! And I also can’t imagine throwing all that juicy flavor, especially since I try to eat low fat and will go very light on the oil in this recipe.

NOBODY can stay healthy using so much oil.
Baba Ganoush is better when you hand mash - the food blender makes it come out like paste or baby-food - its supposed to be more chunky and uneven.
