You should have reached out to the companies for service of the broken parts. Every mixer will break - how well they get serviced is a huge part of it. Also, with a sample size of one, a broken mixer from anyone is a possibility.

Very happy with my Cuisinart. I bake multigrain bread, white bread, pizza dough, muffins and it doesn't miss a beat. Some of my bread doughs are thick and heavy but I let it rip and soon the dough is climbing up the dough hook and ready to rise. I guess it is pretty similar to the KitchenAid. I usually have to use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times. A dough hook needs a little help early on. Nice to see all the brands I luckily avoided.

I'm surprised you didn't have an Ankarsrum mixer in the lineup.

Kitchen aid mixers are wonderful. I've had mine since Christmas of 1999. I still use it in 2023. It's helped me make a lot of cookies, cakes, icings, bread and mashed potatoes throughout the years. Wonderful product. Thank you for your valuable review.

These folks are so cultishly biased toward KitchenAid, why even bother with these reviews where they dramatically make everything except KA look like a letdown or a hassle. I've had that Cuisinart mixer for over a decade and it's a heavy, solid, really well-designed beast, and how they're portraying it, and the other great non-KA mixers, is so irritating. Also, these 'pros' should know that you don't knead dough past a 2 or 3 - even the highest-tiered mixer will suffer. I know this video is old, but whatever. It's so stupid.

Finally, someone who is a professional and knowledgeable about their equipment and someone who did a side by side comparison of various mixers all in reasonable length video. Thank you. I also thought you did a fantastic job presenting the information

Breville website constantly has users talking about the rubber coming off the attachments into the food.

The fatal error is this review is that it left out a hefty stand mixer - The Ankarsrum Assistent made in Sweden. Yes, this spelling is correct. SRUM is pronounced SHROOM. You also left out the Kenwood which is an impressively strong mixer at 660 watts. Bruno Albouze uses these two mixers. Kitchenaid does not come close to either one of these.

The Ankarsrum is 600 watts, lots of torque, the only mixer that can knead bread dough with ease. The bowl is wide open. It is pricey at $750, with $100 attachments, but you can get a meat grinder, pasta maker, blender, and more which makes it very handy. I like the meat grinder attachment a lot.

The way the Kitchenaid mixer is designed, it puts a huge strain on the top head section. If you are paying $600 for it, spend more and get the Ankarsrum. This comes in many colors too. Swedish quality product. My favorite.

The old Kitchen Aids, before they started cheaping out on components, were good mixers. The fact your second best broke and had to be held down by hand is ridiculous. Really? My Bosch Universal has never overheated, no hand-holding necessary, and it has worked for many years now doing LARGE batches of bread dough and everything else asked of it.

I found a 70's Hobart KitchenAid stand mixer at Goodwill with all the attachments for $20! It's built like a tank. Mixes anything you can throw at it like a champ.

Am I the only one noticing that she disqualified Breville because she used too high speed for kneading?😮 The machine has a clear gauge for speed, and she just ignores it.
