You are an amazing honest person. Thank you for sharing. I can surely you will have more customers to install their new tankless system. Way to go and God bless you more. Salute!
ОтветитьThis guy should be a tech teacher!
ОтветитьWalks like a salesman, talks like a salesman
Ответитьgreat video
ОтветитьVery well explained
ОтветитьFabulous video! Great detail, step-by-steps and really good photos or the parts. Thank you so much! I am a 66 year old female and was able to accomplish this task easily!
ОтветитьThanks Ray for posting this instructional video. My contractor never said a word about annual maintenance on my water heater. 6 years in, I could tell that the unit was not running efficiently. With the descaling, we have noticed a marked improvement on how fast hot water is available! Easy to clean and maintain. I’ll be doing my neighbors water tank next, since she has the same unit that I have. Best Regards to you and your team!
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks so much!!!
ОтветитьI have 11 units (5 and 6 - 1 commander for each side) when Descaling most of the times I have issues not having flow between cold service inlet and hot service outlet. Do you know if is there any internal shut off valve that stays closed not allowing the water run through the heat exchanger . Before you ask, yes both service valves open, inlet and outlet closed, recirculating inlet closed, sump pump is OK with tons of pressure . Any comment appreciated.
ОтветитьAs a reminder after you are done with the descaling of the water heater....make sure to clean out your faucet aerators....2x bath sinks.....1x kitchen sink....1x laundry faucet and 2x shower heads of their debris or calcium deposits collected over time.
ОтветитьI have a Navien Combi Boiler in my home. One side does the domestic water supply and the other side handles the heated floors in my basement through a closed loop system with an expansion tank. I used your method to clean/flush the domestic-supply side and there was next to nothing in the system. It was pretty clean aside from the air intake filter and white distillate cap on the bottom. My question…. Can I do the same procedure for the in-floor heating supply of the boiler or is there a different procedure because it’s a closed-loop system? You would think that this method would introduce air into the system which would be a bad thing.
ОтветитьYour video on descaling my navien water heater was excellent. Hot water lost last night. Hot water today by noon. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьHello i have this unit with a rexcirc line hooked up in my house. I was wondering do you need to switch off the valve to the recirc pump when descaling?
ОтветитьThanks so much for making this!! I watched your other video and i couldn't quite see how to open the service valves. This one is more clear. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьI followed this last year and worked perfect. This year when I plug my pump in it starts fine for 30 seconds with strong pressure then it stops. I thought it might be the pump but I removed it and tried it with an empty bucket and it works fine. Anyone know why the vinegar would stop after 20-30 seconds?
ОтветитьVery well done presentation. Thanks for taking the time to do it for everyone.
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you. Do you happen to have one for a Navien NHB Boiler?
ОтветитьHow often do you need to do the flush the tankless if you’re running a water softener too?
ОтветитьThanks. I did this today. Not hard.
ОтветитьThank you Ray for the detailed instructions. It was easy to follow. The first time it was intimidating but this second time this year it was much easier.
ОтветитьThanks so much Ray. This is my second year flushing my Navies heater following your instructions. I appreciate the DIY video, saving me the price of a service call for something I could easily do myself.
ОтветитьGood video , the best I have seen of all the viseos that I have look at. Thank yiou👍👍👍
ОтветитьVery helpful!
ОтветитьI watch this tutorial step by step as i descale my Navien system today. Very helpful. Thank you so much! 👍💯
ОтветитьYeah, but what happened to the recirculating pump filter, and cleaning the ignition rod and flame rod. And if it’s a 240A2 you have to go into the control panel in service mode and tell the heater your descaling, and blow out the heat exchanger with compressed air..
ОтветитьMy navian heating dosent work this year?what going on ?if clean up pipec. it will be work?hot water is work well
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьI never leave comments but THIS video and this guy deserves it! Thank you so much! This is the most clear video I could find on the subject and I watched quite a few before I found yours! (I found the one from last year first and then this one). Thank you for being so helpful and so thorough!
ОтветитьExactly what I needed, hard to find good info online.
I do everything i can myself. I was having issues where hot water would stop for a bit, then come back without codes/system shutdown.
Pulled everything apart and cleaned everything. Tons of crud/scaling. Took me a good few hours seemingly the unit was never maintained.
Now heat is great, no more hot/cold/hot showers thanks so much.
Great video - just serviced mine and your instruction was spot on!
ОтветитьWhat should a typical installation for a brand new one of these cost replacing a tank heater?
ОтветитьYou need to add a step of cleaning out the condensate line, espcially, if the C.L. line has a long run to the outside.
ОтветитьI purchased my Navien water heater a year ago and I am just about to embark on the first cleaning. My question is concerning the difference between commercial descalers and vinegar.
My understanding is that the commercial descalers are better, but they are also more potentially dangerous to a person’s eyes and skin. Apparently they use a much stronger acid like hydrochloric acid instead of the acid in vinegar.
I would really appreciate your feedback on what you think the difference between the two is. Is it worth it to use the commercial descaler?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for a very informative video.
Hi Great video. I did try it and for some reason (I verified 10 times :) plus I am pretty technical in it ) all connection is right and pump is pumping water in but it is not coming out from hot side Anything to check? Waited several minutes Nothing
ОтветитьI've self-serviced my Navien these past four years, based on this well-done explanation of the maintenance procedure. Thanks!
Ответитьthanks, but the heater isn't now producing hot water and the water pressure throughout the house is low
ОтветитьTy for this video!
Ответитьexcellent presentation of how simple this process is and why it is so important to do each year.........GREAT VIDEO!!!!
ОтветитьExcellent way of teaching. Gave alot of information.
Thanks.
This video is perfect. Wow thank you so much.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьBy watching this video it helped us to turn the water heater back. We were not getting hot water but by cleaning as per instructions it worked . Thank you for sharing and help us save some money .
ОтветитьWell explained, so detailed (step by step). Thank you.
ОтветитьI agree with so many here. Clear, easy to follow, no wasted space. My model might be a bit newer but close enough. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank u sir for making this video. It definitely helped me to tackle this on my own. I wish u were in Greensboro NC cause u would definitely be my go to company!!
Ответитьyou are the best / thankyou very much for your inputs and we will keep on watching your valuable inputs
ОтветитьFantastic video, thank you!
ОтветитьI have done this annual service twice now on my home water heater. Both times the dirt trap was filled with dirty black water. Yours appeared to be bone dry. Should I be concerned that the trap has water / condensate in it. Thanks for the video. Wish all my contractors were as helpful.
