Interesting that Ainu ofNorthen Japan have same genetic markers found in Native Americans (not all, of course). Remember Kennewick man? When Professor Owsly, the man who has studied the most Native American skeletons, saw the bones, he said it was not a Native American or only distantly related. He put it most closely related to the Ainu of Japan of Polynesian. Kennewick Man was dated to 9,000 years ago when other skeletons were also being shown to pre-date the modern NA and belonging to an earlier wave of people. DNA is showing that Māori DNA is showing in tribes along the Pacific coast of So. Alaska/Canada--I think it was the Haida particularly who has battled another nearby tribe for many generations, a tribe that does not have the Māori DNA. The battle over Kennewick man reveals a sabotage of the whole site and all the other bones there. Several Indian tribes claimed him. He was finally given to the tribes of the Colville Rez, but so what. That DNA is around in the Americas. Modern American Indians absolutely don't want DNA to reveal secrets that might taint their claims and privileges, so they block the science.

There is a molar tooth root formation found in China and in Native Americans not found anywhere else. It's called a "C" root and cannot be detected by x-ray. In one study of a Chinese population 30% were found to have this formation. In another study of a population in Mexico (I think around the Mayan peninsula, the incidence was 39% had "C" roots. I don't know what other studies were done. It was the best I could find in my searches after having been alerted by my dentist that he found I had a C root when doing a root canal. It's a complication. I'm limited in how I can search so I know I'm missing more info. Also very common among Native Americans are teeth with an edge to edge bite.

I am too uneducated in this field to properly appreciate all the information contained within this wonderful video. Or perhaps I should say, not properly able to appreciate the import of the information. Nevertheless I found it fascinating and it gave me still more admiration for the knowledge & efforts of the people working in these fields, and also to those people who undertook such arduous and remarkable journeys thousands of years ago. They must have been, pun somewhat intended, something else.

Research has shown the Siberian plains and Urals provided more input to the stream of peoples who fed migration into North America through the Bering straight. Yakutsk and American Eskimo (and other tribes in Siberia) look more like dark skinned Japanese than Chinese. Chinese are not the root genetic headwaters of all Asiatic peoples with epicanthal fold. There are numerous studies on haplotype and the like showing mass migration out of the today's areas central Siberia Russia.

After 4 different DNA Tests, I believe that there is Asian/Native American DNA sprinkled throughout my chromosomes, and because of the constant moving of peoples, matches are identified across great distances, so that identifying who came to America-when becomes a guessing game. And the readers of DNA markers guess at where such a crazy-quilt of DNA sprinkles came from. (Nova Scotia - Acadians actually). Guesses include: Balkans, Jewish, Egypt/Saudi Arabia, Levant, Caucasus, Punjab, Bangladesh, Khmr/Vietnam, China, Japan, Columbia, Ecuador South America. It makes any lingering prejudice ludicrous.

I think it’s clear from the Anthropogenic evidence that so called Native Americans are simply ancestors of Asian immigrants. There were no native people to the Americas.

I remember when I tested my uncle & his wife (who is actually also a relative to my family 4th-6th cousin); it was amazing to see that she had Han DNA; though she was part Chickahominy! I was also surprised that FTDNA had been so specific! It is still weird to me that the USA reclassified Indians to Black; made legal; under the passing Racial Integrity Act in Va & other states. I’m glad that the Chickahominy finally got their Indian classification. Personally; I only have 9% Indian & mine weirdly comes back as Indian/South Asian; yet I know my mom & dad have different tribal (ancestral) connections. I only wish my dad had been alive to get DNA testing! It’s fascinating! I wonder if he would have come back with Chinese DNA like his sister-in-law/cousin.

i am half Peruvian & half-Italian. my Ancestry says 40% “East Asian/Native American” with 35% being identified as Peruvian Native & about 5% being “broadly East Asian.”

(the remaining 60% was a roughly even mix of Western European and just about every random circum-Mediterranean population u can think of, from West Asian to Arabian Penninsula, to North African, Italian, Iberian & even Cypriot & Ashkenazi with 1.5% trace elements that were specifically identified as Senegalese…. typical of a Peruvian of Native & Spaniard ancestry on one side & southern Italian Abruzzi on the other).

when it comes to understanding human population migrations & the genetic roots of different “racial” populations most average ppl have a hard time digesting the information because as humans we tend to think linearly & have a strong propensity for oversimplification.

whereas scientific evidence increasingly points to the peopling of the Americas occurring in waves beginning ~20kya til about ~10kya with different ancestral populations (this video covers the East Asian/Chinese/Japanese connection & touches on the Siberian connection but does not mention long-isolated Amazonian groups like the Karitiana, Surui & Xevante whose DNA most closely clusters with Melanesian peoples, suggesting a possible migration originating from & crossing the South Pacific….

Melanesians made it to Rapa Nui & the inhabitants of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) did have contact with continental Native groups from the Americas so both genetic & technological evidence exists supporting the possibility of a South Pacific ocean migration.

but this conflicts with the linear oversimplification mentioned before, so the idea of multiple ancestral populations migrating into & settling the Americas at different times in different waves is hard for people seeking simple answer to digest.

what we can say for certain is Native Americans are not the racially homogenous group once thought less than 3 decades ago. it is not just possible but increasingly probable that Native Americans are a mixture of SEVERAL Asian-originated peoples ranging from Siberians to East Asians to south Asians/Melanesians/Pacific Islanders.

one thing is for certain, the Apache, Cherokee & Sioux of North America are morphologicalky very distinct from Mesoamerixan populations, who are distinct from Andean populations who are distinct from Amazonian populations, genetically AND morphologically.

I find these things very peculiar. First off America doesn't even want to acknowledge that China was the first to navigate the world. So I believe that in the process of China navigating the world they left people behind and also they intermingled with the inhabitants. Also I find it very funny that they don't allow archeology here in America. You shouldn't hide what you are afraid of discovering. I know that the truth can be offensive and not going along with the narrative or his story. Plus the time period that they are talking about as in when these people had actually lived doesn't quite match with the time line of the land bridge. History has a funny way of changing their story like a guilty X-girlfriend.
