Funny watching this all these years later - gestures have become integral parts of mobile OS interaction.
Blackberry were already of the curve on that one.
Phone and passport in one amazing 😃
ОтветитьIm from 2021 but. Still obsessed to this phone
ОтветитьBest looking phone still after 7 years
ОтветитьAh yes, the time when smartphones were interesting. Too bad nobody appreciated you, SquareBerry
Ответить"not intuitive" but when apple does it ... its revolutionary ...
ОтветитьHeavily reliant on swipes and gestures. Sounds familiar.
ОтветитьIt's so classy
ОтветитьBetter find yourself where u belong.. don’t spoil our professional design 🤬
ОтветитьI am getting this phone regardless of this review. I love the shape.
ОтветитьIf you can stand watching videos in portrait on iphone then watching them on black bury passport will be a treat
Ответитьeventually, the fact got revealed... reviewer doesn't deserve a Blackberry... coz he doesn't have any class... hola !
ОтветитьHe looks like a dumbass when he tries to type with one hand. It's obviously a two handed phone.
ОтветитьThe Passport is still the best phone out there. BB 4 Life!
Ответитьokay apple fan boys, I used to be one of you! I had many generations and my last one was the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black before I replaced it with the blackberry passport. not going back to apples gabarge or other similar phones. having a real keyboard is what I was missing all these years, not angry birds or editing movies on my phone? lol
ОтветитьEven though its two yrs ago you got your ass chewed out by the viewers and i find that comical. But must agree with them! Just wating on my keyone to turn up but i guess you will hate that to!!
ОтветитьTHIS REVIEW IS HORRIBLE! 0 stars!
Ответитьnice phone
ОтветитьOh man it is really tough whew I don't know how people can even Use it. What a doofus
ОтветитьHe really hated the phone.. by the way you sucked
ОтветитьBlackberry Rubbish.
ОтветитьI don't have social media, no Facebook, Twitter or Instagram :). I have portfolio website on a private server if that counts lol.
I literally just bought one, I am sick of carrying a ultrabook around for documents, just to take notes and amend a few things, from lectures to work.
I don't have many contacts so I don't find myself in pointless conversations with friends about my day. Every message I get usually comes with a to-do list or a project opportunity.
So on the basis of your review, this phone is amazing and exactly what I need lol
I think that is the biggest problems with "smart" phones is that are they really "smart". Or are they just portable entertainment units?
I want a phone that is suitable for 4/5 hour long work sessions on without feeling I need the comforts of a computer. A built-in keyboard and a large enough screen to see entire documents is what sold this for me. No other brand of phone on the market can provide that.
Yes the iPhone and other Android devices have a big display and support bluetooth keyboards, but that is just more accessories and more to charge, I want to reduce the items I carry, not increase them.
A perfect phone for me, would be one that allow me to see my documents in full glory without the text being so small or a keyboard that takes doesn't cover half the document. It is capable of running an IDE and other production software, I want a phone that isn't limited to apps being of minor functionality in comparison to their PC equivilents.
I have said in the past if Laptops and Tablets taken SIM cards and supported phone calls. I wouldn't bother with a phone.
The reviewer does realize you can install android apks right?
ОтветитьMan this dude was very negative about so many things most find great about the phone. Camera , amazing keyboard. Oh and Instagram... I have three different Instagram apps and yes you can share the amazing photos from the cameras to it. Clearly he was not an unbiased reviewer.
ОтветитьThe new CNN. Getting paid eh?
ОтветитьHard to focus on the specs listening to childish complaints.
ОтветитьThis guy is so obviously biased. Practically every sentence has a negative tone to it - what the heck?
Ответитьbest phone in the world
ОтветитьBlackberry reminds me of Nokia, best at what they do.
ОтветитьKeyboard that makes no sense? Dumbest thing I have ever head, who paid u to say that?
ОтветитьBiased much?
ОтветитьApple killed Blackberry.
ОтветитьMassively underrating and biased review. looks like the verge only given a good notes to the devices which are trendy and being chosen by the crowds. I am planning to get this phone besides the fact that I have s7 edge.
Ответитьif you can install apks on this phone that means you can side load android apps such as instagram so it isn't impossible.
ОтветитьDoes your mind even comprehend 1% of the the meaning of the word "intuitive"? This is what happen when you give an iphone fanboy just "out of the college" to review other phones ;)
ОтветитьNo apps on this.
Ответитьhow can you say your faster using on screen text edit? double tapping the keyboard to edit text is the most precise and quickest way to edit text
ОтветитьI love my BlackBerry passport its soo sexyy <3
Ответить4.5" isn't large
ОтветитьI had and used every phone on the market this phone and OS are head and shoulders above everything else. I've got Spotify now even have Apple Music on it. The most intuitive phone I've ever used reminders me of my Nokia NP with Meego.
ОтветитьIt surprisingly fits perfectly in my pocket. I was really really surprised!
ОтветитьI've got the latest Instagram app working perfectly, 1:1 aspect photos are fantastic to upload
ОтветитьI'd get one if they released a newer version with a great camera.
Ответить"(the gestures are) not particularly intuitive" This is absolute bullshit. Blackberry OS 10 gesture implementation allows you to navigate to /literally/ any part of the user interface without touching a single hard/soft key. You're just a dunce.
ОтветитьBiased
ОтветитьOne of the first "negatives" biased reviews like this one mention, this included, is how the square screen is somehow inadequate for consuming video. This is ridiculous. The viewable size of a letterboxed video on this device is just as large (or millimeters shy) of the size possible on my girlfriend's iPhone in landscape orientation.
ОтветитьIphone android fan :/
ОтветитьI will buy this phone on x mas 2015. There's one thing about BlackBerry, they never get old. Man ! BlackBerry still got it:)
Ответить... btw, the answer to your question... ''does it fit into the current smartphone world''... answer is, NO!!! simply because it's not current but from the future! Whahahahahabhua
ОтветитьBlackberry Passport stands alone... just don't compare this device to anything but itself... I've jumped ship from years and years with the iPhones... but iPhone simplicity is becoming more and more packed with features that try and compete with Android which make it annoying... I love my Macbook air and iPad, but my daily handy device is nothing but communication, and boy does the Passport do a grand job of that... once you're used to how the keyboard works, typing onscreen makes it feel all strange now and disconnected... keep swiping up on my iPad only to reveal the Plane mode setting, much prefer the swipe to the push button now... the camera is just brilliant... and yes you can adjust the picture size... took photos last Saturday on Halloween night, that flash is fantastic, all my friends had iPhones, and none of them could come close to my flash quality, ended up with my Passport taking the photos for the rest of that evening... The Passport is a unique device and is not for everyone, but I guess, that's what makes it so special... if you own a Blackberry then you have made your own choice and haven't been brainwashed at a sheep cloning farm... you are individual and don't give a crap if someone has a phone that can do something pointless but nether the less, faster... who cares... I like my Passport more and more with each day and night, because the battery can last that looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong:))
