OUTSTANDING - As good, no, BETTER, than the original. NOT to be missed!

It would be easier to believe if the female protagonist was not beautiful in the 1st place. Dorothy McGuire was hardly homely in 1945: maybe the entertainment industry will have Margot Robbie playing the part in the next remake - Catherine Deneuve is a bit too old.

Disfigured? What a joke of a film. Gets 3 out of 10.

Wait and suddenly she doesn't look really beat down and camera fresh and plump now. ?? Can't do that in 2 seconds, beauty is time consuming, expensive and oain full.

With confidence Laura is very beautiful and his scars are not that bad. His scars are not as ugly as an evil man.

Gee whiz, be prepared for this film maker to grab for cheap footage of 911 attacks, war scenes, etc - weird story line, and not great acting - but my WARNING is 'the enchanted cottage' is hardly an enchanted flick.

I heard Mrs. Minnett's voice, but I could not place the face. It took me halfway through the movies to realize she was in the first and second Jason Bourne movies, she was Marie. I think I watched this because of seeing the original so many years ago. It is lame and corny, but then again so was the original!

A few long scars is not believable. If may he was blind or half his face gone, hiding and avoiding people would make more sense.

This Movie was "SOOO BEAUTIFUL." Watch it you will enjoy it. The message in this movie is a message that we can all learn from as being BEAUTIFUL & HANDSOME is deep within each of our hearts & souls. Good story but... I just couldn't get past the transgendered actors. They have a right to make that choice but I couldn't see either the fiancee or Laura as a true female... too unrealistic. Oliver was more believable, until I saw his naked back with the bone structure of a woman.
What makes me angry is that this is pushed on society as natural. It is not natural and it is not normal. The entertainment industry is not normal in the true sense of the word.
And these "family" channels are the worst offenders of distortion because they're sneaky and not in your face.

It might be handy if you put in a discription on what the film is about! It might safe some one from a shock.😭😲😭

Beauty is in the eyes of beholders. I thought that face with scars is a piece of art I mean people pay to put tattoos on their face, neck and body. Didn't Heidi marry Seal? His face is tough to look at. Looks is only one of the things. Characters are more important.

I love the original and didn't know this version existed until just now.

I actually think this is a good remake, sticks to the plot line, but has a modern twist.
I also think parts are beautifully done.
I really love the outside shots of the cottage.
'Enchanting' really the perfect way to describe the cottage used in this film.

The original movie holds a special place in my heart, but this one is worth a watch too, especially if you like the first version.

I'm only up to 1 hour, but I can't stand this jackass that's so full of self-pity that he can't see life.. Love comes from the heart: not from a face, a missing limb, or anything else external.. Until you can get over your self-pity and learn to accept your own shortcomings you will never find love in anyone else.
