Not all travelling people are bad.
A minority give the rest a bad name.
I knew some and they complained about the issues they have with some in their group but when they speak up it gets scary.
My mates factory had about £40,000 of aluminium for a big order.
Travellers pitched camp across a field at the rear of the Industrial estate.
One holiday weekend the fence was destroyed and the ally went missing.
He replaced the stock immediately & called Hawaii 50.
The next weekend? Yup, gone again.
As were the travellers.
Dibble had visited the camp after the 1st time, but when the goods were replaced. Well, guess it was too tempting.
Insurance refused to cover the 3rd load.
But, with the travellers gone he was ok by then.
PS he wasn’t quick to judge, he checked the cameras and saw them come from the campsite.
Oh, Dibble and 5-0 is police, they knew who did it but unless you can identify individuals you’re struggling to lock them up.

It’s so bizarre to me.

I was 13 when I was ‘grabbed’ by an Irish traveller, on holiday in Kildare. I’m not even Irish (British) & I was only there for the summer, staying with Irish relatives. I had no idea what was happening and it was terrifying, literally being dragged in the opposite direction of where I wanted to be going. He and his friends stalked me the whole time I was there, it was relentless. I remember my Irish cousins prep talking me on how to handle myself and what not to do and what all the slang meant when he was asking me/telling me things so I wouldn’t trap myself. It was just constant harassment though, at that age and the lads couldn’t of been much older than 15/16 themselves.
I still remember his name too, Patrick. And where I was, I was walking to blockbuster to rent some movies with my 13yr old cousin & her friends.

It’s been 20 years! The memory is VIVID 😅😂

The local park was so much cleaner after the gypsies left.

This is assault and kidnapping and and more depending on their age and regional laws. They want respect but I have seen 1, count them, 1 honest, hard working and genuinely wonderful traveller woman and that was here in Canada. Other than that they want to buck laws, act like Neanderthals, cheat, scam and hurt people around THE WORLD yet cry foul. Cry me a fn river. They perpetuate what is wrong with the world and crimes against women and the parents, shame on you for letting your children live in this outcast society. I'm sure the number of stable (in every way possible) Roma, Travellers, Gypsyies, whatever you want to be called today, is very low. Hate society yet feed on those to do an honest day work to feed, clothe and house themselves and their families. Waste of oxygen.
