The 2025 design trends were really interesting! The mix of classic styles with new technology was truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing this video!

I think the handcrafted/analogue style will be huge... I sense we're all jaded by digital, increasingly so by the generative AI sh1te we're drowning in. As with the revival of Vinyl, we're gonna see this in all media ... books, movies, etc ..... its gonna make a comeback.

Also, you mentioned that motion graphics have seen an uptick in popularity. I have been wanting to learn more about motion graphics of late. I’ve worked with Photoshop frame-by-frames, but other than that I do not have much experience in the motion graphics field. Any advice for starting out?

Sounds pretty spot on to me. Defiantly what I'm seeing, I'm sure something new will pop up in a year or two. I do agree with the trends, they're fun to look at and design but they won't be long lasting. "Break on free to the other side"

brutalism in French does not mean raw concrete. it's the aesthetic use of basic building processes with no apparent concern for visual amenity.

Thoughts on companies designing their creativities with their real-data instead of mockups and endless hours looking for assets?

Trend 4 and 3 are kind of conflicting... Users and companies being more aware of their impact and sustainability, whilst at the same time using AI - which uses an incredible amount of energy and even more water for cooling! That really ought to be reconsidered, or at least, used very VERY sparingly.

I also feel like the design trends are always so broad and vague that everything is always trendy

there will be much more erotic and raunchy trends in design in 2025, "nsfw" content will be more acceptable even in mainstream design

Been working as a brand and creative designer for 30 years, 5 being in Barcelona and Madrid. Huge brands, small brands, agency and in house etc. Your responsibility is to provide design solutions to connect your client with their clients to grow their brand and make money whilst solving their clients problem. Every solution needs to different, not trends shoe-horned in for a designer’s ease or ego. Push yourself to be the author of your own creativity to give the very best solution to your client. Simple but it’s a lot harder.

Trends create nostalgia which gives a common language to use in timeless designs.
