my first playthrough as a warrior in heavy armor with sword and shield was extremely weak against magic since most my enchantments were boosting one handed so now i wanna try a heavy Armor battle mage because im board of only using melee weapons in elder scroll games and i think using magic and melee instead would be fun

Battle mage Necromancer is what i want to be

Just got into skyrim actually and i clicked on this because my dragonborn is basically this exacbuild lmfao. I started as a 2 handed argonian warrior but have shaped my build into a battle mage with heavy focus on all destruction and light armor instead of heavy for mage robes. I did the soltsein hermeaus mora quests and i am using miraaks mask. Its so good bc its still light armor but it has a big armor rating plus has 50 points of magika. To be honest i dont know how but apart from gear selection though everything else is exactly like my build, i use alchemy and enchanting heavily and use molag bals mace for now. I cant decide if i like it or the bound sword. I like having a physical weapon so i have more magika to fight with or summon a flame atronach and throw fireballs at something. I plan to max out destruction so i always have a useful destruction spell. Found put ashen spawn are immune to fire real quick so i was glad i had chain lightning and ice spikes.

Bretons are the best Battle Mages because of they are both Nord and Elf.

On my next playthrough, I might have to try this. The build I'm doing now is a stealth mage

Ebony is aways be the sexy armor for Battlemage after I get 100% Trophy on skyrim I found really good mods make Good Battlemage on it and I'm on ps5

This is probably one of the easiest builds for legendary expetialy if you pick Breton with that magic resistance, has alot of dps with fire spells that also make enemies take more dmg from your mele atacks. And it is also very tanky with heavy armor and regeneration magic if needed. Very strong build and scales very well in late game +50 lvl with enchanting smithing alchemy i recomend this to anyone playing legendary first time. Also i recomend using one hand axes, with putting points into bleed when you unlock it. Bleed combined with flame magic spells dot is very powerfull vs some tanky enemies like dragons jiants ect. It will give you alot of extra dps combined togeter, and is also good vs heavily armoured enemies because bleed will still do alot of damage to them.

I'm thinking of getting a helmet of head wear to replace my dragon priest mask but nothing else goes well with the dawnguard armor I wear

I’m planning to use this, The Dragon Priest, and BADCompanySarge’s Anniversary Edition Arcane Elementalist to make my own “Heir of Konahrik” build. And I may add the challenge of playing a Nord in Survival Mode as well.
